Black Friday 2024 live: Best deals so far, from Hotel Chocolat’s velvetiser to the Dyson airwrap
Brands and retailers are kicking off their Black Friday sales early, with deals on Ninja, Samsung and more
Black Friday officially begins on 29 November, but we’re already seeing early deals dropping thick and fast from the likes of Currys, Argos, Debenhams, Boots and Shark. Ecommerce giant Amazon is one of the latest to launch its official Black Friday sale, with major names like Pandora, Zara and more set to follow.
Whether you’re looking to stock up on beauty essentials, replace your old laptop or invest in a new mattress, the IndyBest team is compiling hundreds of deals in our Black Friday shopping guides. But for real-time updates on discounts and news as it drops, our liveblog has you covered.
With Christmas around the corner, the sales also serve as the perfect opportunity for you (read: Santa) to save some money. But, whether you’re after a TV, toys, jewellery or furniture, the biggest price drops aren’t necessarily the most impressive. The best, genuine deals are those on products that are actually worth your money, so we’ll make sure to bring you offers on items we’ve tested ourselves.
The biggest sales happening right now? As we mentioned above, Amazon has just kicked off its coveted Black Friday week, while Samsung has also started discounting many of its top products. Dyon’s Black Friday sale is also well underway, and includes an £80 saving on the cult favorite airwrap. Ghd is offering up to 25 per cent off everything, and Oodie has 50 per cent off blanket hoodies, too. Elsewhere, you can find bargains at Boots, Currys, Argos, Lookfantastic and more. It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest Black Friday sales ever.

Get 50% off the Oodie blanket
Reduced by 50 per cent for Black Friday, this weighted Oodie blanket is a winter essential and the perfect gift for the coldest person you know.
Oodie weighted blanket: Was £95, now £47.50, Theoodie.co.uk
Earning a spot in our review of the best weighted blankets, the Oodie is described as “velvety soft” and “brilliant for those looking for a soothing sensory experience”. Our tester tried the 4.5kg blanket and found it gave them just the right amount of a light hug, evenly distributed around her as she slept. Sounds delightful.
Save £25 on the Instant pot
While we’re scoping out Instant’s Black Friday sale, we have to mention this £15 saving on the iconic pressure cooker that launched the brand.
Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 multi-cooker: Was £89.99, now £72.99, Instantpot.co.uk
Almost every meal in my kitchen goes through our Instant pot at some stage, whether we’re cooking dhal or cooking rice. It’s as essential a piece of kitchen kit as your toaster, and now the Instant pot is discounted to £74.99 in the Black Friday sale.
Save £100 on Instant’s versazone air fryer
Here’s another massive saving on an Instant air fryer we recommend. The Instant Vortex Plus VersaZone air fryer has a giant £100 off this Black Friday, bringing the price of the countertop oven down to just £99.99.
Instant Vortex Plus Versazone air fryer: Was £199.99, now £99.99, Instantpot.co.uk
This is the exact model I’ve got, and I can confirm that it cooks chips to perfection. The 8.5l basket has enough space for a dinner for three people, and the dual zone function means you can have everything finish cooking at the same time.
Save £30 on the Instant vortex air fryer
Sometimes you just want a machine that does what it says on the tin, and does it well. Enter our pick for the best simple air fryer from our guide to the best air fryers of 2024, which has £30 off in Instant’s Black Friday sale.
Instant vortex pot plus air fryer: Was £99.99, now £69.99, Instantpot.co.uk
This model from Instant is just as powerful as the others on our list, but without all the distracting bells and whistles. If you feel you’re not quite ready to step into the dynamic and sometimes overwhelming world of cooking things in a little box that blows hot air around, this is a great entry-point for beginners.
Our tester said: “For a fuss-free, lower-priced air fryer, this is the one to go for. With one glass-fronted door, there are no fancy frills with stirring arms, dual baskets or rotisserie functions, it just gets the job done, plain and simple.”

Testing these beds sounds like a dream job – and look, let’s not pretend otherwise – but do you know how hard it is to swap around mattresses every time a Simba pops up with some new pocket-sprung doodad?
We’ve got arms like lumberjacks at IndyBest.

Panda hybrid bamboo mattress pro, double: Was £1,290, now £903, Pandalondon.com
Our expert bed tester (I know, right?) chose this as the best option for back sleepers in our round-up of the best mattresses of 2024. “This hybrid mattress from Panda calls on bamboo to give you a better night’s kip,” they said. “It’s vegan, and topped with a luxe, naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial bamboo cover that immediately gets extra points for being removable.”

Simba’s hybrid ultra featured in our round-up of the best mattresses of 2024. There isn’t a discount on the mattress itself, but right now Simba is giving away a bunch of freebies with every purchase.

Find more electric toothbrush deals this Black Friday
You’ll find both of those deals and more over on our full guide to the best electric toothbrush deals this Black Friday.
As IndyBest’s long-suffering (but fresh-mouthed) toothbrush expert, I track the prices of electric toothbrushes all year round. Hardly reporting from the frontlines, I know, but it leaves me equipped to filter out the many fake bargains and bring you only the best electric toothbrush deals every Black Friday.
Best electric toothbrush deals in the Black Friday sale
I’ve started rounding up big savings on top-rated brushes and replacement heads from Oral-B and Philips
Save £20 on the Ordo electric toothbrush
Here’s a £20 saving on one of the best electric toothbrushes we’ve tested.
Ordo Sonic + electric toothbrush: Was £59.99, now £39.99, Boots.com
The unique selling point of the Ordo Sonic + is the silicone cross inside the bristles, which the brand says helps whiten and polish your teeth as you brush. We had two testers use this brush for months, and both reported it was effective in getting rid of longer-term stains. The Ordo Sonic + is down to just £39.99 at Boots.
Save £40 on the Philips Sonicare Diamondclean 9000
Having just said you don’t need to overspend on an electric toothbrush, it’s only natural to want to treat yourself to a brush with a bit more style, especially if you’re buying a gift.
Here’s a Black Friday discount on the Philips Sonicare 9000, which is reduced to £108 at Amazon. The full price is £299.99 but the brush is frequently on offer for around £150, so this is nearer to a £40 saving.
Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000: Was £299.99, now £108, Amazon.co.uk
Unlike the round, oscillating brush heads of the Oral-B iO range, the Philips Sonicare has a traditionally shaped head and uses high-frequency sonic vibrations to blast away at plaque and dirt. The result is a dentist-clean smile. Replacement heads are around £7.50 each, and this pack comes with three.
