Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The Currys Cyber Monday 2024 sale is live, and it’s brimming with offers on everything from air fryers to the latest gadgets. I’ve been scouring the deals since the Black Friday sales launched and have tracked down some of the best bargains, including discounts on coffee machinesRing doorbells, and the Dyson hairdryer.

In a bid to rebuild consumer trust in the Black Friday sales, Currys has introduced a price guarantee, ensuring that none of the products in its Black Friday sale have been cheaper in the past six months.

With research revealing that more than half of shoppers doubt the authenticity of discounts, I think it’s a nice way to give shoppers confidence that they’re getting an actual deal. Though I’ll, of course, be highlighting the top savings at the retailer in this guide, products might be cheaper elsewhere.

Whether you’re looking to upgrade your TV, score a new laptop, grab a pair of cheap wireless headphones, a powerful vacuum cleaner or a new phone, I’m rounding up the best deals at Currys this Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

This dual-drawer Salter air fryer was ranked the best overall when pitting it against 13 others. “It covers all bases with its relatively large baskets, countless cooking options and incredibly easy-to-use design,” wrote our air fryer expert. LG’s class-leading TV has just received a huge £400 price cut at Currys for Black Friday. “It features pin-sharp picture and excellent brightness levels that look realistic and persuasive, and the picture quality is outstanding,” tech critic David Phelan said in his review. (John Lewis)

Right now at Currys there is £247 to be saved when purchasing a 2022 MacBook with an M2 processor. Available in black or grey and with a 256 GB capacity, this thin, lightweight, 13.6in laptop is currently the cheapest MacBook in the air range.

Bosch series 6 WGG254Z0GB washing machine: Was £649, now £499, Currys.co.uk

(Bosch)

There’s a £150 saving to be had on this white Bosch series 6 washing machine at Currys, which has a number of wash modes, including a “super quick” feature for when you’re running late to the office and need a quick 15-minute cycle, and a “speed perfect” option, which cuts washing times by up to 65 per cent. When we tested another model of the series 6, what impressed us the most was the “iron assist” setting, which steams the laundry load inside the machine. This “helps washing come out of the machine with relatively few creases – so you might not even need to iron it before you put it away,” our tester wrote.

Dyson supersonic hair dryer: Was £329.99, now £249.99, Currys.co.uk

(Dyson)

Beauty buffs will already know the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, and if you’ve been coveting the cult-favourite tool, I come bearing good news – it’s currently £80 off at Currys. Featured in Lauren’s round-up of the [ best hair dryers, she praised its “incredibly lightweight design, which delivers a real punch of power for fast drying times”. Not marked as a Black Friday sale because it’s been cheaper in the past, but it’s still a great saving.

Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 wireless headphones: Was £299, now £199, Currys.co.uk

(Alex Lee)

In my review of the best wireless headphones, I crowned these the best for high-res audio. Down from £299 to £199 at Currys, the Px7 S2, from British audio manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins, sound impeccable. In the review, I said that everything sounded “more refined, crisper and more confident, pushing guitars, synths and vocals to the front”, when compared to the performance of the Px7. In terms of ANC, these are also definitely an improvement. Save £100 on the tried and tested cans when you buy them at Currys.

(The Independent)

Everyone wants an air fryer this Black Friday and, alongside the Salter one above, this Ninja Foodi model has got to be one of the best. Appliance tester Lauren dubbed it her favourite dual-zone iteration in her guide to the best air fryers, wowing at the fact that both drawers can be active on different settings. She found this to be “very handy when cooking a whole meal” and added that “you can even sync the drawers to be ready at the same time”. Thanks to the hefty discount, now’s the ideal time to give your chicken and chips a crispy upgrade.

Oral-B iO3: Was £159.99, now £49.95, Currys.co.uk

(Oral-B)

Making its way onto tech writer Steve’s review of the best electric toothbrushes, the Oral-B iO3 is the most affordable option in Oral-B’s premium iO range. Using the same quiet oscillating motor as the rest of the series, it delivers the same impressive cleaning performance at a fraction of the price. So, what’s the trade-off? The iO3 has fewer brushing modes, a shorter battery life, no LED screen, and skips the smart features. If you can live without those extras, it’s a steal at £49.95 at Currys.

An upgrade on the second-generation model, this version boasts improved motion detection and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for a more reliable connection. Home appliance writer Zoe crowned the second-gen Ring doorbell her best buy, and the third-generation model improves on it in several ways. “This iteration of the Ring doorbell is still up there with one of the best around,” she said.

(Sage)

Sage is king of coffee machines and this one – the duo temp pro – has everything you’ll need to brew a Blank Street-worthy cup of Joe. It’s reduced by around £100 right now and, though I haven’t reviewed this specific model, when coffee specialist Zoe reviewed its smaller iteration (the bambino) she was certainly impressed. De’longhi dedica EC685BK coffee machine: Was £179.99, now £149.99, Currys.co.uk

(De'longhi)

While I haven’t reviewed this model myself, my fellow IndyBest teammate assured me that the dedica is a solid choice for those looking for an affordable alternative to the likes of Sage, without compromising on flavour. Owning the machine herself, she explained that – though affordable, with £30 off – it’s easy to level-up to a premium bit of kit with a just few accessories. However, if you’re just after an easy brew, the dedica will have you covered, too.

(Breville)

You can currently enjoy £180 off this Breville coffee machine. When coffee expert Zoe reviewed it, she noted that “you can choose from espresso, latte or cappuccino and the milk is frothed automatically”. She added that she liked how the milk canister can be stored in the fridge to keep it fresh, rather than faffing about with decanting it back into the bottle each time.

(Currys)

Coffee lovers take note: the Tassimo by Bosch my way 2 coffee machine is down to £59.99 at Currys – a £40 saving. “Despite its purse-friendly price, this Tassimo machine has lots of features found on bigger-ticket coffee machines,” home appliances reviewer Zoe said in her guide to the best coffee machines. With customisable drink settings, a Brita filter for optimal flavour, and an LED display for easy brewing, it’s ideal for latte lovers and espresso enthusiasts alike.
