While Black Friday traditionally takes place on 29 November, in recent years the sales event has morphed into a month-long shopping bonanza. Hundreds of early deals have been dropping across major brands and retails over the last couple of weeks (Currys, Argos, Boots and Shark, to name a few), so you can start your shopping right away.

As always, the IndyBest team has been compiling all the best deals in our Black Friday shopping guides. Plus, for a real-time stream of discounts and Black Friday news, our liveblog has you covered.

This is your chance to score savings on a new TV, a high-spec laptop, a new mattress, and cult favourite beauty products, but the steepest discounts aren’t necessarily the best deals. The most impressive discounts are those on products that are actually worth your money, so we’ll make sure to bring you offers on items we’ve tested ourselves.

So far, Samsung has started its sale, Ghd is offering up to 25 per cent off everything, Oodie has 50 per cent off blanket hoodies and Dyson is offering hundreds of pounds off its products. Elsewhere, you can find bargains at Boots, Currys, Argos, Lookfantastic and more, in what some are calling their biggest Black Friday sale ever.

We’ve been covering the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales for years here at IndyBest, so, we know how to spot a good deal from a dud. If it’s got a decent discount (and it’s worth your money), you’ll find it here.

Here’s £20 off the iPhone 16 at Giffgaff

The iPhone 16 is £799 at most retailers, so this £50 Black Friday deal at Giffgaff is actually a £20 saving over the usual price.

That might not seem like much, but deals on the newest iPhone are rare and sell out fast. You’ll need to buy a £10 plan with Giffgaff to take advantage of the offer, but depending on the plan you choose you can cancel or change as soon as you’ve paid.

(Apple )

Unlike the base iPhone 15, which used the chip from the older iPhone 14 Pro, this year’s base iPhone 16 gets the same chip as this year’s Pro editions, giving it speedy all-round performance. In our iPhone 16 review, our tester praised the upgrade. “Many innovations are coming to both phones at the same time: the new camera control; the ability to run Apple Intelligence; the new, improved tougher front and faster wireless charging”.

Get the Pixel 8 Pro for just £499

The Pixel 8 Pro has a massive 50 per cent off in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale, taking the price of the best Android phone of last year down to just £499.

Google Pixel 8 Pro: Was £999, now £499, Amazon.co.uk

(Google)

The newer Pixel 9 launched back in September, adding fresh AI features, but the 2023 flagship is still highly recommended and an absolute bargain at this price. In my Pixel 8 Pro review, I was impressed by the phone’s “brighter screen, improved camera hardware and whole new set of impressive photo-editing features powered by Google AI”.

The PS5 could get a big discount very soon

You might want to ignore that little PS5 discount we highlighted at Amazon. Our resident tech expert Alex reports that Sony might have accidentally just revealed a much bigger PlayStation 5 deal in the pipeline.

Sony published an ad on its YouTube channel yesterday that was quickly taken down, in which it announced that the digital edition of the PS5 console would be discounted to $379.99 for the holiday season in the US. A similar price drop in the UK would mean the PS5 would fall below £300 for the first time.

Our advice? Hold off on buying a PlayStation 5 until there’s a price drop. Chances are that Sony will launch the discount early now the information has leaked.

Save £17 on the PS5

There aren’t any great deals on the PlayStation 5 right now, but Amazon does have a small discount. You can currently save £17 at the retailer.

PS5 Slim disc edition: Was £479.99, now £466.99, Amazon.co.uk

(Amazon)

This disc edition model, which can read Blu-Ray discs, is essential for anyone whose library of games and movies is still physical. It’s the only PS5 console that still comes with a detachable disc drive as standard – not even the PS5 Pro has one of those. “A catalogue of exclusive games – many of them truly unmissable experiences – gives the PS5 a slight edge over the (technically more powerful) Xbox Series X,” I wrote in my PS5 review.

Get £60 off the iconic Le Creuset casserole dish

You don’t need to queue in the cold to grab some discounted kitchenware. Amazon’s dropped the price of a Le Creuset casserole dish by £60, so you can shop the deal from the comfort of your own sofa.

Le Creuset signature cast iron casserole dish: Was £209, now £148.61, Amazon.co.uk

(Le Creuset)

Appearing in our reviewer Rachael’s round-up of the best casserole dishes, this classic casserole dish now has a discount of almost 29 per cent ahead of the Black Friday sale. “This dish can be used on all types of hobs, including induction, as well as under the grill and in the oven. It is heavy, weighing in at 4.3kg, but has two good side handles and one on the lid, which offer a great grip even when wearing oven gloves,” said Rachael.

The best Nespresso coffee machine deals

Nespresso’s pod-powered coffee machines combine everyday ease and style. Retailing at £100, it’s pop model is the brand’s most affordable coffee machine – and, naturally, it’s been tried and tested by us at IndyBest. Spoiler alert: our writer loved it.

Now, you can get it for even cheaper thanks to this early Black Friday offer.

Nespresso vertuo pop coffee machine: Was £99, now £69, Nespresso.com

(Amazon)

Receiving a glowing five-star review from our writer, they praised the “small but mighty” machine that will slot seamlessly into most people’s kitchen countertops. “Weighing in at just 3.5kg, if you have a large cupboard and won’t be using the machine every day, it’s also incredibly easy to store away until you need it,” they added.

Compatible with Nespresso vertuo pods, you simply unlock the lid of the machine by pushing a small lever to the right. Pop in the pod, push the lid back down and push the button on the top to heat the machine up, before enjoying a perfectly poured brew within a minute.

Upgrade your TV with early Black Friday deals

Black Friday is the best time of the year to save on pricey products - see mattresses, bed frames, phones and headphones. If you’re in the market for a television set, our tech critics have been busy rounding up the best deals on models ahead of the main event.

Panasonic TV-50W90AEB: Was £799, now £599, Johnlewis.com

(Panasonic)

Dubbed the best for picture quality in our guide to top 4K TVs, this Panasonic model has been reduced by £200 at John Lewis. In their review, our tester said of this model: “Part of the success of this TV is down to the processor, which is smart enough to know when you’re watching sport, for instance, and can adjust both the picture and sound accordingly.” With the 50in version now just shy of £600, now is the time to invest.
