Palace have only managed one shot since the game got under way, with the Eagles struggling to show any threat in the final third. The Toffees have produced five shots, but they are yet to test Johnstone between the sticks. It's been a game of little quality in attack for either side.

Palace have a free-kick in a promising position as Gueye trips Mitchell on the left, deep inside the Everton half. Wharton will be the player to take and he delivers towards the front post, but Doucoure will clear. It eventually comes to Andersen who crosses into the box, but Tarkowski gets his head to it and the Toffees can clear the danger.

Calvert-Lewin leaps above his marker but can't quite get to it, and Young fails to connect properly at the back post. He could only flick the ball away from danger.

Pickford gets away with one! Andersen hits a long ball behind the Everton defensive line, and the goalkeeper rushes out of his box to deal with it. Pickford goes to clear the ball, but it cannons off Edouard. Thankfully for the England international, it flies off the side of the pitch for a throw-in to the Toffees.

Wharton's throughball finds Mateta, but he's offside and Everton will have a free-kick. Pickford is there to take it and he sends it long in search of Calvert-Lewin, who has made a run in and behind the Palace defence. He's burst away from his marker, but he can't quite latch onto it and it falls to Johnstone.

Chance for Palace! Branthwaite fails to clear the ball and Mateta can turn and drive towards the penalty area. He finds Edouard just inside the box, and the French striker gets it out of his feet and shifts it onto his left. He strikes it low and hard towards goal, but Pickford gets his body behind it and makes a comfortable save.
