*Andy Murray 3-3 Novak Djokovic (*denotes server): Wow. After moving to deuce for the third time, Djokovic finally has the opportunity to claim the match with an overhead volley that he rushes to meet on the right-hand side of his court. He completely miss-hits though as his effort soars wide of the court. What a let off for Murray. The Serb gets away with it eventually to take the game - only just though.

*Andy Murray 4-3 Novak Djokovic (*denotes server): The Scot puts the disappointment of the last game behind and forces three back-to-back errors from his opponent with some powerful serving. 40-0. Djokovic isn't rolling over though. He returns Murray's second serve to push him out wide and rushes to the net to see off his opponent's weak return. Moments later he hits another wide shot, rushes to the net but Murray is more prepared this time to send his backhanded effort in between Djokovic and the tramline. Game point.

Andy Murray 5-3 Novak Djokovic* (*denotes server): Djokovic's deep first serve puts Murray straight onto the back-foot and although he manages to return, it sets up the world No 2 nicely for an overhead smash. Murray grabs one back on the Serb's first serve but nets the next point to make it 30-15. He fights on and his patience is rewarded as he plays the long game, pumping a number of baseline shots in a bid to wear down his opponent. Right to left, left to right: it seems to work and Djokovic once again slips up. 30-30. Following a miss-hit junk shot to the back line, Murray challenges but the replay reveals his effort to be out. A forehand winner makes it deuce before he moves into break point following Djokokvic's netted effort. A tense rally breaks out, with Murray stationed on the central T, pushing his opponent further and further to the right before the Serbian is eventually unable to return. Break point. The game is his!

*Andy Murray 5-3 Novak Djokovic (*denotes server): Djokovic digs deep and claims the first point on Murray's second serve with a forehand winner down the left-hand tramline. He's cracking though as his flat shot to Murray's right for the second point lands in the alley. The Scot continues to grind away, playing the game of attrition and a sliced effort from his opponent sails way of the tramline to hand Murray momentum. He moves to two points with a backhand winner. 40-15. So close now...

*Andy Murray 6-3 Novak Djokovic (*denotes server): And that's it! The first set is his! After faulting on his first serve, he holds service on his second attempt and although the Serbian manages to return, his effort is a relatively tame one. Based in the centre of the court, the Scot picks out the space to Djokovic's right and takes the point. Murray has now broken serve in all 87 singles matches he's played this year. Fantastic stuff, fantastic first set.

Andy Murray 6-3 0-0 Novak Djokovic* (*denotes server): Djokovic gets the next set underway but he's looking unsettled as he sends what should have been a simple return into the net. Murray falls guilty of the same error following a brief rally and it's 15-15. The pace and precision of Murray's play is proving a handful as Djokovic sends another shot in between the tramlines. At 30-15, he opts to mix it up and rushes to the net following a baseline placed backhand. Murray isn't having any of it though as he fires his return straight down his opponent's throat. He's caught off balance and his volleyed attempt finds the net. 40-15.

Andy Murray 6-3 0-0 Novak Djokovic* (*denotes server): Two Murray mistakes and Djokovic is handed a lifeline. The Scot takes it to Advantage but now it's his time to find the net and the game returns to deuce. The world No 1 subsequently paints the line with a beautiful forehand shot that looks to have bamboozled Djokovic, but the Serb is made of tough stuff. He returns, landing the ball at Murray's feet who struggles to reposition himself and his forehand effort lands wide of the right-hand tramline. Advantage Djokovic.

Andy Murray 6-3 1-0 Novak Djokovic* (*denotes server): Murray has broken Djokovic again! After returning the game to deuce, the Scot's resolve shown through with his baseline play once again getting the better of the Serb who conceded two forced errors back-to-back, each one landing wide of the tramline.

*Andy Murray 6-3 2-0 Novak Djokovic (*denotes server): The first point comes easily for Murray and after a quick rally, Djokovic concedes his 17th unforced error of the match to make it 30-0. He moves to 40-0 with a forehand winner and the game should of been his for the taking as he attempted to land a simple drop shot metres away from the net, but it failed to clear the cord. He made up for it, however, with a strong serve that sealed the deal. The game is his.

Andy Murray 6-3 2-1 Novak Djokovic* (*denotes server): Murray wins the point on his opponent's first serve but he hits back, taking the next three. 40-15. An unforced error from the Scot caps off a straight-forward game for Djokovic and he's up and running.
