No fewer than five races have been scheduled for Thursday on top of two additional qualifying sessions as organisers attempt to squeeze in every race this week following the lengthy rain delays. After losing Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday to rain, action looks set to resume on Thursday with a bumper day of racing, ahead of Friday’s blue-riband Senior TT.
The action kicked off with superbike and superstock qualifying before Peter Hickman took victory in the two-lap supersport race two. The Birchall brothers, Ben and Tom, took their seventh Sidecar TT win with victory in race two, their 10th overall. When racing went back to the solos, there was still no stopping Hickman as he sealed a week hat-trick with superstock victory. Racing continues this evening with the two-lap lightweight race and one-lap TT Zero, with the day rounded out with a one-lap Senior qualifying. Follow the live action below.

Races are not shown live from the TT, so the best way to follow the action as it happens is with local radio or The Independent’s live blog throughout the event. A reminder that it will be a three-lap race, with a pit stop mandatory at the end of the first lap.

Lap 1: No McGuinness or Hutchinson at three or four, so there's a 30-second wait until James Hillier gets away to try and chase down Cummins and Harrison, closely followed by Michael Dunlop.

Lap 1: Gary Johnson, Michael Rutter and David Johnson follow Dunlop, before race favourite Peter Hickman gets underway. That's the first eight away!

Lap 1: Into Glen Helen comes Cummins, and once again Harrison is eating into that gap, taking three seconds out of the 10-second gap to post himself at the top of the timesheet as provisional leader. The long wait sees Hillier split the pair, 1.5s off Harrison, before Dunlop slips in behind him 1.6s off the pace. Rutter has also had a good start and is 2.5s off the lead in fourth ahead of Cummins, and Hickman goes fastest by 1.6s!

Lap 1: It's the supersport race revisited as Hickman leads Harrison and Hillier, but Dunlop and Rutter are very much in the podium battle.

Lap 1: Davey Todd's had a brilliant start to move into sixth, with the top six all within five seconds of the lead.

Lap 1: Harrison continues to catch Cummins on the road as he leaps over Ballaugh Bridge just four seconds behind the Manxman. Dunlop overtakes Hillier for third! We've been waiting for the Ballymoney rider to get everything right and this might just be the race. Hickman continues to lead by 2.32s, with Harrison second, Dunlop third, Hillier fourth and Cummins passing Rutter for fifth.

Lap 1: Harrison knows he's got to puch here and he's right on the tail of Cummins into Ramsey. Dunlop remains third, four seconds off Harrison and three seconds ahead of Hillier, and Hickman comes through to move four seconds clear in front!

Lap 1: Harrison is through the Bungalow and it's not a great sector time, in fact it's beaten by Dunlop who takes half-a-second out of the gap to second. Hickman has the lead out to 7.130 seconds with the fastest sector time Ramsey to the Bungalow by a country mile, and remember they'll be heading for the pits at the end of the lap.
