From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The tee times for the final day at The Open have been moved forward by around an hour to avoid bad weather conditions, which are due to hit Northern Ireland's Royal Portrush course late in the evening.
The final group, which is currently set to be made up of Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood as they lead the way on -13 and -12 respectively, will take to the course at 1:47pm on Sunday afternoon.
The tee-off is an hour earlier than last year's final round at Carnoustie, and two hours earlier than when Lowry and JB Holmes started their third round on Saturday.
"Sunday tee times have been moved forward due to the adverse weather forecast," tournament organisers the R&A tweeted.
"The first tee time will be at 7:32am with the leaders beginning their final round at 1:47pm."
It is the second time this year that the final round of a major has been affected by weather, following the early finish to The Masters last April when Tiger Woods secured his 15th career major victory.
On that occasion, heavy thunderstorms expected in the afternoon lead to organisers deciding on a two-tee start and threesomes instead of pairings, though players will remain in twos at The Open and it has been decided that there is enough time for all groups to tee off from the first hole as planned.

1st hole
Lucas Bjerregaard (-1) and Ernie Els (-1) are the first under par pairing to get started on the final round. Bjerregaard hits the middle of the fairway with the Big Easy hitting a six or seven iron and joining him.
13th hole
Shubhankar Sharma (+3) holes his second shot on the 13th for a birdie two. That's his fourth of the day.
9th hole
A bogey for Bubba on the ninth puts an end to his momentum. He's level par for the day going out in 36 despite and eagle and a birdie.
5th hole
Molinari (+1) recovers well from his tee shot as he nurses a birdie putt over and down a rise in the green to within a couple of feet to leave an easy putt for par.
1st hole
Els (-1) and Bjerregaard (-1) will have to settle for pars at best as they both miss long birdie efforts.
5th hole
Louis Oosthuizen (-1) makes his second birdie of the day. He stands over a five/six foot putt the wind blowing his polo shirt as he knocks it in. Is that a sign of things to come later in the day.
7th hole
Adam Hadwin! Over the back of the green in two, he plays a chip and run for his third and what a chip, the ball lands about halfway to the hole and it finds the line only stopping when it falls into the cup. He moves to (-1) with that eagle.
