From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Championship Millwall are through to the FA Cup quarter-finals after beating League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon 1-0.

The Lions came close to adding to the 1-0 advantage given to them by Wallace's early goal on a number of occasions in the second half but failed to beat Dons goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale for a second time.

Millwall join Watford and Brighton in Monday night's quarter-final draw.

GOAL! Brighton 1-0 Derby (Knockaert)

33 minutes

He's looked the most dangerous player on the pitch so far and Knockaert gives the hosts the lead! An excellent ball across from Bissouma is met by the Frenchman, who curls his finish into the bottom corner. Roos has no chance, and the first bit of real quality in the game results in the opening goal.

Brighton 1-0 Derby

35 minutes

Brighton have been buoyed by that goal. They come forward with purpose again, breaking from midfield. Kayal is brought down by Malone, though, and the Derby full back goes into the book.

Brighton 1-0 Derby

37 minutes

This has been disappointing from the visitors so far. They've been unable to get a foothold in the game and have offered almost nothing in attack. Lampard now has a big task on his hands to turn this one around.

Brighton 1-0 Derby

41 minutes

A Derby free kick causes some problems in the Brighton box as goalkeeper Button doesn't quite connect with his punch. It's cleared, though, and the hosts break. Tomori, already, on a yellow breaks up the attack with a foul but gets away without a second booking.

Brighton 1-0 Derby

43 minutes

Derby deal with a few set pieces relatively comfortably. The aim for the visitors will be to reach half time without conceding again. Something will have to change after the break if they're to get anything from this tie.

Brighton 1-0 Derby

44 minutes

A wasted opportunity for Bogle, who makes a good run forward down the right and is picked out excellently by Huddlestone. He gets his attempted cross all wrong and it goes behind for a goal kick.

Brighton 1-0 Derby

45 minutes

Four minutes of added time will be played, due to a couple of stoppages for injuries.

Brighton 1-0 Derby

45+1 minutes

A half chance for Waghorn, who reacts quickest to a loose ball from a Derby free kick. He hits it on the volley from a tight angle but his effort is straight at Button.

GOAL! Brighton 2-0 Derby (Locadia)

45+3 minutes

That's a big goal! Brighton have a second on the stroke of half time. Bissouma, who has been lively today, makes a weaving run towards the box and curls a lovely side-footed shot at goal. It strikes the post and falls perfectly for Locadia to tap in.

Half time: That's it for the first half. Brighton are in complete control thanks to that late Locadia goal, and you'd expect them to go on and win this comfortably now. Derby, meanwhile, have been poor. There might be some choice words in the dressing room from Frank Lampard.
