European champions Chelsea have proven they have what it takes to dethrone City, however, having done it in last season's Champions League final and will be hoping to add a domestic title to the one won in Porto.
Liverpool were winners back in 2020 ending a 30-year wait for league glory and Jurgen Klopp is sure to have them back challenging again at the sharp end this season too while Manchester United will be looking to be back in the title picture with Cristiano Ronaldo returning to his former club in the summer.
It's not all about the action at the top though with Norwich, Watford and Brentford promoted to the top tier for 2020/21 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.

It's better from Villa, who are just moving the ball a little quicker now. Young swings in a wonderful cross and Watkins is hovering on the edge of the six-yard box, but Zouma heads it out for a corner ahead of him.

It's switched from left to right for Villa this time, with McGinn picking out Watkins, who has dropped deep. He tries to slide it through to Ings, who is making a run off the back of Cresswell, but the defender cuts it out.

Still, Villa try to pass their way through West Ham's compact shape and Coutinho finds a pocket of space with a drop of the shoulder. He lays it off to Ramsey, but his throughball to Watkins is cut out by Dawson.

Villa are knocking it around well, but it's all in their own half at the moment. They're patiently playing out from the back, but they're struggling to find a way through the hosts.

West Ham are still pushing here and Lanzini lifts a great cross into the far post. Antonio has already beaten Cash to try and reach it, but he crashes into Martinez, who also came for it, and the foul goes against him.

Chambers is waved back onto the pitch as West Ham continue their attack, with Rice switched it out to Benrahma again. He knocks it through to Antonio, who skips past Cash, before seeing his cross blocked.

There's another problem for Villa here as Chambers needs to receive treatment. He's got a cut on his ear after trying to block Soucek's chance, but he'll be able to carry on after being patched up.
