Follow for live reaction after Manchester City moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they produced a commanding performance to thrash Leeds United 7-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Phil Foden struck City in front after eight minutes with a bobbled shot from outside of the box that Leeds defender Stuart Dallas was unable to clear off the line. Jack Grealish then ended his 10-match run without a goal as he headed in Riyad Mahrez’s cross to put City two up inside 13 minutes, before Kevin De Bruyne made it three shortly after the half-hour mark.

City picked up where they left off after half-time as Mahrez’s deflected effort made it four, before De Bruyne thundered in a fifth from outside of the box. John Stones and Nathan Ake then got in on the act as Leeds fell apart. Follow all the reaction to a brilliant City performance below:

What is Jack Grealish?

When discussing the most expensive player in English football’s history, one who transcended English football itself to become a genuine household name over the past year, you should not really need to ask that question.

And yet four months into his Manchester City career, it is beginning to feel necessary.

Grealish has only two goals and three assists since his £100m move from Aston Villa. It is not as if he has fallen victim to Pep Guardiola’s rotation policy either, starting 16 of his 19 appearances, playing more minutes than any of the alternatives that Guardiola could pick as part of his front three, barring the exceptional Bernardo Silva.

Even the manner of those two goals somewhat reflects the up-and-down nature of Grealish’s start to life at City.

Marcelo Bielsa has spoken about Leeds’ heartbreaking defeat to Chelsea last Saturday and what his team needs to do to get more points. He said:

Raheem Sterling is revelling in his return to the Manchester City side after notching up his Premier League century on Saturday.

England forward Sterling struck for the fifth time in eight club appearances as he netted the decisive penalty in a hard-fought and controversial 1-0 win over 10-man Wolves on Saturday.

Man City vs Leeds: Guardiola on Rodri

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says that Rodri is one of the world’s best holding midfielders on current form. At a pre-game press conference Guardiola was asked if there were any better holding midfielders in world football at the moment and he replied:

There are many, but one of them right now is Rodri absolutely,

“Because he is 25 years old, he’s still young and his mentality, he’s a competitor, who can show it in every training session and game.

“He’s set up perfectly in the Premier League already. Last season as well and hopefully he can avoid a drop at the end like it happened, unfortunately, last season.
