The new champions began the day on 92 points, and with four games remaining they can set a new benchmark for top-flight points. However they will have to do it without their captain Jordan Henderson after he was ruled out for the rest of the campaign, and face a Burnley side in good form since the restart.

Burnley are in good form right now, and Liverpool are without their captain, but even Sean Dyche will struggle to come up with a way to stop Liverpool in full flow. Liverpool 2-0 Burnley.
28 min: Another chance for Jesus. Mahrez works the ball on to Sterling, who in turns prods a pass into Jesus. His shot is well blocked, but City keep coming. This is becoming a real struggle for Brighton.
29 min: A De Bruyne corner is met by Silva at the near post, an unlikely candidate to score a headed goal from a corner. He doesn't get enough power on it, and Ryan makes a comfortable save.
32 min: Typically brilliant from De Bruyne. Brighton give the ball away to Mahrez, who finds the Belgian. He lifts an inch-perfect ball onto the head of Jesus, but again the Brazilian is off target.
35 min: City spend a bit of time knocking the ball around in their own half. It's been a very comfortable first half for Guardiola's side.
36 min: Off the bar! De Bruyne robs Propper of the ball and picks out Jesus, who cuts inside and sees his shot deflected off Dunk and onto the woodwork.
37 min: Close! Silva wins it in midfield this time and feeds Jesus, who dances past two players and sets up Mahrez. It's set up perfectly for the Algerian to curl it into the far corner, but he sends it wide. If there's any criticism of City so far tonight it's that they've not been particularly clinical.
39 min: Chance! Brighton give City a scare as Gross whips a cross into the middle and picks out Trossard. The in-form midfielder glances a header towards goal and it flashes just over the bar.
42 min: Webster and Dunk both attack a Brighton free kick and the result is a header from one of them which sails well wide.
43 min: Walker puts on the afterburners, knocking the ball past Bernardo and surging to the byline. He pulls a cross back towards Jesus, who's crowded out by a couple of Brighton defenders.

Jesus finally gets his goal! He's been in the thick of it tonight, missing a couple of chances. But he can't miss this one. Some clever movement allows him to latch on to Rodri's flick on from a corner and tap in from a couple of yards out.
