From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Manchester United get their Champions League campaign underway tonight against Swiss champions Young Boys.

After suffering the humiliation of being eliminated by Sevilla in the round of 16 of last season's competition, Jose Mourinho's men are under pressure to make an impact on the European stage this time around.

Young Boys have never before made it into the Champions League group stage, and are hoping to upset the odds in a group that also includes Juventus and Valencia.

It's looking okay for my Super 6, United and Real Madrid are winning but Man City have let me down big style, I had them to win 2-0 instead it's Lyon who have the two goals at the Etihad.
