After suffering the humiliation of being eliminated by Sevilla in the round of 16 of last season's competition, Jose Mourinho's men are under pressure to make an impact on the European stage this time around.
Young Boys have never before made it into the Champions League group stage, and are hoping to upset the odds in a group that also includes Juventus and Valencia.

SECOND HALF: United get the action back underway and look immediately more threatening than they did in the first half. Martial and Fred combine in the area but Camara gets it clear
49 mins: Sulejmani wins a corner for Young Boys but there were claims against Smalling for a handball. However it hit his shoulder and the ref sends the ball to the corner spot
52 mins: Utd corner. Pogba moves the ball forward by giving it to Lukaku who holds the ball up before sending Fred down the left. Fred cuts back inside and takes a shot that's deflected behind. The corner comes to nothing.
54 mins: Sulejmani wrestles with Smalling again before hitting a low cross across Utd's six yard area towards Assale who doesn't quite hit the ball cleanly and it goes out for a goal kick.
Leroy Sane makes an appearance for Manchester City, he replaces Gundogan but City remain 2-0 down at the Etihad
58 mins: Fassnacht wins a foot race with Luke Shaw on United's left wing but his cross sails into the safe hands of David De Gea

United have a throw in Young Boys' half but they lose it easily, the tempo of the game has slowed down a touch now

United play the ball out of the defence with Fred finding Pogba in tons of space. He runs it up to the opposition area with options on the left and right, he flicks it Martial on the left who sends it home with a little deflection.
