The early Black Friday sales are well underway ahead of the official start date of 29 November. From Currys and Argos to Boots and Shark, major brands are already dropping their best deals, so you can start your shopping right away.

Whatever you’re looking for in the sales, whether that be a TV, laptop, mattress or beauty products, the steepest discounts aren’t necessarily the best deals. The true savings are on products that are actually worth your money, so, we’ll be highlighting deals on products we’ve tested ourselves.
In terms of the brands and retailers already on the Black Friday train (ahead of the official sale dates of 29 November to 2 December), Samsung has started its sale, Oodie is offering 50 per cent off blanket hoodies and Dyson is offering hundreds of pounds off its products. Elsewhere, you can find bargains at Boots, Currys, Argos, LookFantastic and more, in what some are calling their biggest Black Friday sale ever.

My IndyBest colleague, Lucy, just spotted this great deal on the iPhone 16 Pro at iD Mobile.

The 500GB plan (upgraded from 100GB for Black Friday) has you paying £149 up front and then £39.99 per month. That’s a total of £1,108 over the course of the 24 month plan (mid-contract price bumps not included). The phone costs £999, which means you’re paying a mere £4.57 per month for a 500GB plan.

These are the best Black Friday deals at Amazon
Amazon’s Black Friday sale officially starts on 21 November and will run until 2 December, but there are plenty of early deals to be found right now.
Finding the best discounts at the online retailer can be a challenge, considering Amazon sells everything from Le Creuset dishes and portable bluetooth speakers to dishwasher tablets and Ring video doorbells. All that on top of Amazon’s own range of devices, which includes smart speakers and televisions.

Here’s £20 off the iPhone 16 at Giffgaff
The iPhone 16 is £799 at most retailers, so this £50 Black Friday deal at Giffgaff is actually a £20 saving over the usual price.
That might not seem like much, but deals on the newest iPhone are rare and sell out fast. You’ll need to buy a £10 plan with Giffgaff to take advantage of the offer, but depending on the plan you choose you can cancel or change as soon as you’ve paid.

Unlike the base iPhone 15, which used the chip from the older iPhone 14 Pro, this year’s base iPhone 16 gets the same chip as this year’s Pro editions, giving it speedy all-round performance. In our iPhone 16 review, our tester praised the upgrade. “Many innovations are coming to both phones at the same time: the new camera control; the ability to run Apple Intelligence; the new, improved tougher front and faster wireless charging”.

The Pixel 8 Pro has a massive 50 per cent off in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale, taking the price of the best Android phone of last year down to just £499.

The newer Pixel 9 launched back in September, adding fresh AI features, but the 2023 flagship is still highly recommended and an absolute bargain at this price. In my Pixel 8 Pro review, I was impressed by the phone’s “brighter screen, improved camera hardware and whole new set of impressive photo-editing features powered by Google AI”.

The PS5 could get a big discount very soon
You might want to ignore that little PS5 discount we highlighted at Amazon. Our resident tech expert Alex reports that Sony might have accidentally just revealed a much bigger PlayStation 5 deal in the pipeline.
Sony published an ad on its YouTube channel yesterday that was quickly taken down, in which it announced that the digital edition of the PS5 console would be discounted to $379.99 for the holiday season in the US. A similar price drop in the UK would mean the PS5 would fall below £300 for the first time.
Our advice? Hold off on buying a PlayStation 5 until there’s a price drop. Chances are that Sony will launch the discount early now the information has leaked.

There aren’t any great deals on the PlayStation 5 right now, but Amazon does have a small discount. You can currently save £17 at the retailer.

This disc edition model, which can read Blu-Ray discs, is essential for anyone whose library of games and movies is still physical. It’s the only PS5 console that still comes with a detachable disc drive as standard – not even the PS5 Pro has one of those. “A catalogue of exclusive games – many of them truly unmissable experiences – gives the PS5 a slight edge over the (technically more powerful) Xbox Series X,” I wrote in my PS5 review.
Get £60 off the iconic Le Creuset casserole dish
You don’t need to queue in the cold to grab some discounted kitchenware. Amazon’s dropped the price of a Le Creuset casserole dish by £60, so you can shop the deal from the comfort of your own sofa.

It is heavy, weighing in at 4.3kg, but has two good side handles and one on the lid, which offer a great grip even when wearing oven gloves,” said Rachael.
Get a free copy of Super Mario Bros. Wonder with this Switch bundle
While there’s no straight discount on the Switch right now, Nintendo is offering bundle deals on the handheld console. The best is this £309.99 bundle on the Nintendo Switch OLED, which comes with 12 months of Nintendo Online and a copy of Super Mario Bros. Wonder included at no extra cost.
