For the welterweight title, here we go!

Round 1: Hmm. A minute passes without a punch thrown. Not quite what we were expecting. Thompson shows two roundhouse kicks but they both miss the target by a long way. Thompson kicks again and Woodley catches it, swarming Wonderboy in the process and jumps on top of him. Thompson has half guard, but Woodley is able to deliver repeated punches to the body on his right side as well as a few shots to the head. Thompson gets to full guard, but Woodley postures up and delivers two big punches to the gut before dropping on his head. As the hooter goes, Thompson can't see as there's blood in his eyes, and his corner have to shout to him where to go for treatment.

Round 2: Again, the first minute passes without anything of note, but when Thompson darts in Woodley pins him against the fence in the clinch and started to slam knees into the thigh of Thompson. Thompson breaks free, but he can't afford to get tied up at all because he's giving away rounds when he does. Thompson lands a spinning back kick to the gut that causes Woodley to shake his head, and Thomspon follows up with a flurry of punches and he's growing in confidence. Thompson gets another left hand in on the chin of Woodley, and he's doing a good job of evading his grasp. That might just be 1-1.

Round 3: Woodley goes on the attack and comes charging across the canvas, but Thompson retreats and evades well. Thompson land a get left and a powerful right onto Woodley's nose that the champion feels, and Wonderboy is starting to turn on the style now, to the fans' delight. Woodley misses with a right hand and Thompson counters, Ouch, Woodley throws a heavy leg kick that thuds against Thompson's shin that almost sweeps him off his feet, and Woodley ends on the front foot with a big right hand. A close round that one.

Round 4: Into the championship rounds we go. and Thompson starts it off with a leg kick to Woodley's thigh. Woodley floors Thompson! It's that right hand once again, and as Wonderboy gets up he's hurt. He's floored again! Thompson's in huge trouble and against all odds he;s holding on. He's locked in a half-gullotine, and despite being fully locked in the gullotine on the mat he's still fighting! I've never seen this before, and Thompson is throwing punches while in the submission.
WONDERBOY IS OUT OF THE GULLOTINE!
Absolutely incredibly resilience, and now Thompson is on top of Woodley with 40 seconds to go and the crowd roaring him on! Thompson starts dropping bombs as the hooter goes in one of the best rounds I've ever witnessed, and to top it all off, Thompson picks Woodley up off the canvas!

Round 5: Thompson starts the final round with a spinning heel kick as the crowd chant "Wonderboy! Wonderboy!" and this is a million miles from the scenes we witnessed about four minutes ago. Surely he can't pull this off? Three minutes to go, and Woodley has his back on the fence again, but he blocks another spinning heel kick well. Wonderboy lands a straight right, followed by a combination that lands, and Woodley tries to fend him off with a straight kick. Now Woodley attacks but he can't get in range, and Thompson staggers Woodley on the hooter to close another thrilling fight!
I think Woodley's done enough there, but it'll be close.
