Your support makes all the difference.Shane Lowry captured the imagination of his Irish fans with a stunning victory to win The Open Championship and clinch his first major title.
The 32-year-old hails from Clara some 160 miles south of Royal Portrush across the border, and enjoyed a passionate and ferocious support from a partisan crowd who roared him home from start to finish amid one of the greatest atmospheres ever witnessed in Open history.
Only on the first hole did Lowry look in trouble as he began his round with a bogey, giving Tommy Fleetwood a sniff of a challenge, but from there on no one was able to get close to the Irishman and he eventually held off his English playing partner to claim a six-shot victory and spark wild celebrations on the 18th green.
Fleetwood clinched his joint-best finish in a major but rued what could have been after failing to take his chances early on, while Tony Finau rose through the leaderboard with a supreme par round of 71 in tdreadful conditions to take third place. Re-live the action below.

11th hole
The ball doesn't break as Westwood (-9) lets his putt for par fly. He misses and has to settle for a bogey.
The weather has broken and the rain has died back down.
10th hole
Fleetwood (-11) after gaining a shot fires his drive left into trouble, Lowry (-16) finishes in the second cut, just off the fairway.
13th hole
Henrik Stenson (-5) makes a birdie two on the par-3 13th to move back to level par for the day. He's up to eighth in the standings.
10th hole
191-yards for Tommy Fleetwood (-11) hitting from the quagmire. He makes the distance but the line is off as the ball lands to the left of the green.
11th hole
Rickie Fowler (-7) hit his tee shot well left on 11. His second shot is very good because he finds the fairway after being stuck in the forest.
12th hole
Tony Finau (-8) looked miserable about 20 minutes ago when the rain was strong. He's happier now as he rolls an eagle putt close on 12 and taps in for birdie. He now sits in fourth place, all on his own.
10th hole
Just a little pitch from Shane Lowry (-16) for his third into the tenth. He hits it fine but the ball checks up on the second bounce and leaves him with a tester for par.
12th hole
Lee Westwood (-9) off the back of the green has a putt for birdie, he hits it just as the wind starts up again so the ball doesn't drop.
10th hole
Lowry (-16) holes his par putt and the crowd goes nuts. Lowry brings the fist pump back, Fleetwood's own putt for par slides to the left of the hole, and he bogeys to drop to (-10). Great news for Shane Lowry who leads by six with eight to go.
12th hole
Westwood (-8) rues his luck as he drops a shot with another short putt for par going wide. Bogeys are more commonplace than birdies now that's for sure or maybe not Danny Willett (-8) joins Westwood at 8-under as he holes his birdie put on the 12th.
13th hole
Finau's (-7) good work on 12 counts for nothing as he makes a four on 13.
11th hole
Kopeka (-6) has a putt for par on the 11th, he rolls it up to the hole but the ball finishes on the edge and doesn't drop. Instead he makes bogey, could be worse though as JB Holmes has seven shots on 11 for a triple bogey. He's 8-over for the day and down to (-2).
Fleetwood (-10) from, almost the fairway cut, hits a low second into the green and reaches the front edge. Not to be outdone Lowry (-16) matches him.
13th hole
The 13th is causing serious problems off the tee with players going over the back and not adjusting for the wind. Finau just took bogey and now Westwood (-7) and Willett (-7) suffer the same fate.
11th hole
Lowry (-16) hammers his putt from the front of the green and sends it past, he's got another testing putt for par. Fleetwood (-10) secures his par by rolling the ball up close for his birdie.
Lowry faces the pressure now, is he up to it? Putting for par... he misses it! The lead goes back to five as Lowry falls to (-15).
12th hole
Some good news at last for Justin Rose (-4) he sinks a birdie on the twelfth to go back to 4-under. It's his first birdie of the day in round that's worth 5-over par so far.
From the tee, Tommy Fleetwood (-10) finds the middle of the bat and moves from left-to-right into the middle of the fairway. Lowry (-15) avoids the bunkers on the right but finds the wet rough.
