Saracens vs Leinster: Mark McCall hails Billy Vunipola for doing his talking on the pitch

This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

Saracens completed a memorable European and domestic double after retaining the Premiership title by beating Exeter 37-34 at Twickenham.

The teams shared 10 tries during unquestionably the greatest Premiership final in its 16-year history. Exeter led after just 28 seconds when scrum-half Nic White claimed the quickest Premiership final touchdown, but Saracens ultimately prevailed with Jamie George's second score ultimately proving the difference.

Here's how it played out.

The first Exeter 'Tomahawk chant' goes up around the stadium as the south-west fans make their voices heard.

It's a gloriously sunny day at Twickenham as both sides go through their warm-ups - which I may add are enormous as both teams appear to have brought their entire squad for them.

Saracens head in from the warm-up first after a mass group huddle in the middle of their half, before Exeter go for the team jog around the pitch before returning to the changing rooms. Just 10 minutes until kick-off.

The Premiership trophy is brought out by members of the armed forces that means it's almost time for the players to emerge and for the action to get underway.

Will it be another familiar Saracens final victory, or do Exeter have a few tricks up their sleeve? We're about to find out.

And here come the teams!

Twickenham comes alive with about 20 loud bangs that scares the life out of just about everyone in the stands, but it's time for all the noise to stop and the rugby to begin. Here we go...

1 mins: Exeter kick-off and the Premiership final is underway!

1 mins: TRY FOR EXETER!

1 mins: Well no one expected that! Just like last weekend, Kruis fails to take the kick-off, and in just 25 seconds, Exeter are over the line as Nic White snipes over from the base of the ruck. The crowd erupt in celebration at what is the quickest try in Premiership final history, beating Josh Lewsey's score in the 2003 final against Gloucester for Wasps.

Simmonds adds the extras and Exeter lead 7-0!

4 mins: Saracens immediately try to respond, and with a penalty advantage they go wide, only for Henry Slade's hand to knock the ball forwards and into touch. Referee Wayne Barnes wants a look at this, and after a lengthy TMO review decides that it's a deliberate knock-on - but crucially Nowell is covering behind Slade and it's not a penalty try. However, Slade is going to the sin-bin, and Saracens go to the corner.
