An entertaining first half ends with Wolves and Chelsea still goalless in this Christmas Eve clash. The visitors have had the better chances, though the hosts have been guilty of playing themselves into trouble on more than a few occasions. Sterling wasted the best opportunity of the game when pouncing on a mix-up between Sa and Gomes, but the Wolves 'keeper redeemed himself with a big save. At the other end, Hwang went closest as Wolves grew into the game at the end of the half, but volleying over after being released by Kilman. It's all to play for in the second half!

LUCKY ESCAPE FOR WOLVES! Dawson concedes a free-kick on the Chelsea right, which Gallagher swings into the area. Sa almost drops the ball at an attacker's feet before claiming it at the second attempt, then his rushed throw out to Cunha puts the hosts back in trouble. Cunha is second to it, and Palmer advances to the edge of the D before shooting over. Wolves are causing their own problems here.

OVER! Wolves miss their best chance of the half! Kilman lifts a great ball over the top of the Chelsea defence, with Petrovic unsure whether to come out or stay on his line. He opts for the latter, and he's fortunate to see Hwang blast his volley over the top from the right side of the box.

Chelsea stand firm to clear the set-piece again, then Dawson is caught offside from the second ball into the area.

This is much better from Wolves. Semedo bursts forward to cross for Gomes, and it's just helped away from the Brazilian by Silva. Sarabia shoots low on the volley, and it almost deflects into the path of Hwang inside the six-yard box! It's another Wolves corner.

Wide! The second corner finds Dawson at the back post with Petrovic pinned back on his line, but he's just crowded out as he sends a downward header off-target. Wolves are growing into the contest.

Pressure! Lemina shows neat footwork to find Semedo on the overlap, and the wing-back's cross deflects up into the air and onto Lemina's chest. His scuffed shot almost puts Hwang in on goal, but he's forced wide by Petrovic and can only win a corner.
