The Premier League's January transfer window is upon us with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all set to be busy.

Liverpool were the summer's biggest spenders with no fewer than four new arrivals. Goalkeeper Alisson was the headline-grabber with the Brazilian already proving worth every penny of the world-record fee the Reds shelled out for the Brazilian. Could long-term target Nabil Fekir join him next month? United got a couple of new faces in through the door in the summer but it hasn't made a difference with Jose Mourinho out and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in. Will he spend them out of trouble in the January sales?

Chelsea have made the biggest splash with the signing of Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic while Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal could all choose to dip their toes in the water as they battle for an all-important top four spot. We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

Back to Chelsea where Sevilla are said to have held talks over taking Alvaro Morata on loan before the deadline.

The Spaniard has endured a forgettable time in English football and Goal report that the La Liga side are ready to take him back to Spain.

Jose Mourinho was the sole problem that led to Paul Pogba’s slump throughout the start of the season because he wanted to be the “centre of attention”, according to the Manchester United midfielder’s brother.

Mathias Pogba has waded into the big issue at Old Trafford that contributed to the Portuguese manager’s exit, with United making the decision last month to axe Mourinho and appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his place as an interim option until the end of the season.

United have since won four consecutive Premier League games to reignite their top-four chances, as well as progressing through to the fourth round of the FA Cup where they will face Arsenal, but it has been the rejuvenated performances of Pogba that have stolen the headlines as the World Cup-winner scored twice against both Huddersfield Town and Bournemouth along with inspiring performances against Cardiff and Newcastle.

It was a dramatic turnaround from the Pogba who was benched and left out of Mourinho’s final games in December, and his older brother Mathias, who currently plays for Tours in the French third tier, believes Mourinho is entirely to blame for the fall-out between the pair.

BREAKING

News in from the Bundesliga, where Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of World Cup-winner Benjamin Pavard on a £31.4m move that will be completed in the summer.

The France international will join from Stuttgart after signing a five-year deal with the Bavarian giants, with their sporting director Hasan Brazzo commenting:

"I can confirm that Benjamin Pavard will join us on five-year deal from 1st July 2019.

"Pavard is a young player and a world champion. We're delighted and very proud to have been able to secure the services of a player like him."

To Arsenal where the Gunners are looking for reinforcements this month.

One of Unai Emery's top targets remains Barcelona's Denis Suarez with the midfielder surplus to requirements this month.

However, the Mirror report Barca are playing hardball over a potential loan deal with the option of making the move permanent in the summer.

It is suggested they want to keep the 25-year-old from leaving.

Back to Italy where Milan could be willing to let Franck Kessie move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old is being tracked by a number of clubs including Chelsea and Tottenham.

And Calciomercato report that Milan would be willing to sell for around £40m.

Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira has said "money is no issue" for the Portuguese giants as they look to hire Jose Mourinho.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea manager was briefly Benfica boss in the year 2000 but resigned in December when the club's new president, Manuel Vilarinho, refused to give him a contract extension.

The Eagles are, however, seven points off Sergio Conceicao's FC Porto at the top the league and while current boss Bruno Lage remains in place, president Vieira was non-commital on Lage's future with Mourinho now on the market.

Tottenham's Mousa Dembele is being linked with a move away this month, and Beijing Guoan are the latest club to show their interest in the Belgian.

Dembele has returned to training following an ankle ligament injury, but the midfielder's contract runs out in the summer.

And at 31, Dembele believes he is now struggling with the physical demands of the Premier League, which has ignited interest from the Far East according to the Daily Mail.

Mario Balotelli could be set for a surprise return to the Premier League.

The Italian is set to have his contract cancelled at Nice and is expected to join Marseille on a free transfer.

But the Mirror report that Newcastle are also interested in taking him.
