The January transfer window shuts at 23:00 on Tuesday 31 January.

Red Bull Leipzig have added another wonder-kid to their squad, signing RB Salzburg centre-back Dayot Upamecano.

He has chosen to join sister club Leipzig for a fee of around €10m, joining on a five year deal.

The teenager has made 21 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The Frenchman was also linked with Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Borussia Monchengladach face a challenge to keep hold of two of their brightest stars.

Sporting director Max Eberl has publicly stated his desire to keep hold Andreas Christensen and Mahmoud Dahoud, with the former returning to Chelsea at the end of a two year loan spell.

"These are talks that will take place in the spring, we have a very good relationship with Chelsea and we would like to continue working with Andreas."

As for Dahoud, who's been linked with Liverpool he said: "Mo should take the second step with us but there is a market, we want to keep him, we'll talk"

The duo are catching the attention of clubs across Europe.

Simone Zaza looks set to complete a switch to Valencia, after deciding to move the Italian striker on after a failed stint at the club.

It ends a miserable spell which saw him fail to score in 8 appearances for the club, it's alleged that West Ham would have been obligated to buy him should he surpass 10 games played.

Antonio Zaza, father and agent of Simone said “He’s a Valencia player, tomorrow it will be official,”

The loan deal will cost €2m initially, with Valencia obligated to buy him for €18m if he completes the requisite appearances.

The Italian's spell at the London Stadium looks set to end.

Sunderland reject PVA approach

David Moyes has confirmed that Sunderland have rejected an approach from Crystal Palace for left-back Patrick van Aanholt.

The Black Cats had received a bid of £7m from Sam Allardyce, who is looking to sign the player after working together for numerous years at Sunderland.

Sam Allardyce is keen on reuniting with the Dutchman.

Silva wants more

Hull City manager Marco Silva is keen to add to his squad further, after the club announced the signings of Oumar Niasse and Evandro Goebel.

The club lost Marcus Henriksen for up to 3 months after he sustained a shoulder injury, with Michael Dawson, Dieumerci Mbokani and Ahmed Elmohamady on the absentee list.

Silva spoke about the issue saying: "We try to find solutions for the side and our back-line and if you pay attention, our squad is playing just one system at the moment,"

Bringing in players is important because it is impossible at this level to be training with 13 or 14 players. It is not normal, in this level it is impossible, we need to add quality players to our dressing room."

Hull City face AFC Bournemouth on Saturday looking to bounce back from a midweek defeat to Manchester United.

Warnock 'nocked back

Cardiff City have had a bid turned down by Aberdeen for winger Jonny Hayes.

Speaking to the club's official website, manager Derek McInnes said: "The bid fell way short of our valuation and that Jonny, as with all the squad, remains an integral part of the plans for the second half of the season."

The bid is believed to be in the region of £500,000, Hayes has 18 months left to run on his current deal at Pittodrie.

Manchester United have knocked back an approach from Lyon for winger Memphis Depay.

The Dutch winger is greatly admired by Lyon manager Bruno Genesio, however Mourinho told reporters today that it has been rejected.

“The offer we had is far from being reasonable for us. He is our player. If nothing happens he is one more for us.”

Memphis Depay has struggled for form this season.

Gollini leaves Villa

Aston Vila manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that Pierluigi Gollini has joined Serie A team Atalanta on loan for 18 months.

"It came out of the blue last night," Bruce told BBC Radio WM. "We agreed a deal and it was done in a couple of hours and he's now gone off to Atalanta."

The deal was struck and today it was reported that first choice Goalkeeper Marco Sportiello is having a medical at Fiorentina today.

Sam Johnstone signed for Aston Villa earlier in the window until the end of the season.

Rovers make their move

Doncaster Rovers have signed former Manchester City goalkeeper Ian Lawlor on a two and a half year deal.

The Keepmoat side brought in the Irishman in the wake of Marko Marosi being ruled out for three months.

Speaking to the club's official website he said "I'm delighted to be here, I'm looking forward to progressing and getting involved with the lads. I spoke with the manager and saw the ambition of the club, obviously we're on a great run at the moment but to see the future is something I want to be a part of."
