Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Chelsea slipped 10 points behind Manchester City in the Premier League title race after a shock defeat at feisty Wolves.

The hosts ended a two-month wait for a win with quickfire second-half goals from Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota clinching a 2-1 victory.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek's deflected strike opened the scoring for the Blues but they now sit fourth to seriously trail leaders City. PA

Where can I watch?

Wolves vs Chelsea will not be televised, but you can follow the action live on IndySport’s live blog.

Player to watch:

Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The midfielder has struggled for game time this season, but he has seized the rare opportunities he’s been given, including a goal off the bench against Fulham on Sunday. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s given a start in this game given the run of midweek matches over the Christmas period, and he will be looking to prove he can produce from the start.

GOAL! Tottenham 3-0 Southampton (Heung-Min Son, 55 minutes)

An assist for Harry Kane, a goal for Heung-Min Son and Spurs are moving out of sight of their visitors.

Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal, 56 minutes

Lucas Torreira is in a little discomfort but will continue. Arsenal have already lost two to injury this evening so that will please Unai Emery.

The crowd are starting to liven, and Diogo Dalot breaks completely free down the right.

Dalot looks confused by the amount of space he is afforded and plays a nothing cross. He does win a corner, but Arsenal clear it.

GOAL! Fulham 1-1 Leicester (James Maddison, 73 minutes)

Demarai Gray and Shinji Okazaki combine to create the opportunity for Maddison, who continues his goalscoring form by finding the bottom corner.

Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal, 62 minutes

Sead Kolasinac twice breaks beyond the right side of the Manchester United defence but can't find a teammate on either occasion.

Kolasinac is down, too, as is Anthony Martial. Alexandre Lacazette is stripped and ready to come on.

Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal, 64 minutes

Martial is done.

Looks like something muscular for the Frenchman. His birthday ends in a sadder fashion than Martial would have hoped. Romeu Lukaku comes on.

And here's Lacazette. Alex Iwobi jogs off.
