From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.West Ham have a tough task this afternoon as they look to secure their Premier League future against champions Manchester City.
The Hammers currently sit 15th, six points clear of the relegation zone but could all-but secure their future with a victory, but it could admittedly be difficult against Guardiola’s men.
Elsewhere, the recently-crowned champions will be highly-motivated to earn maximum points as their quest to break the Premier League points record edges closer to completion.

What time is it?
The game kicks off at 2:15pm on Sunday.
Where can I see it?
The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League.
It’s a big game for…
David Moyes. If the Hammers do earn the win, it would mean quite the impact at the London Stadium by the Scot. A victory could pretty much mean survival.
Having said that, a loss could potentially put the Hammers back in a perilous position. The Londoners could potentially be only three points clear of the drop zone by the end of play at the weekend. Whilst their future would still be in their own hands, it would make for an uncomfortable last few weeks of the season.
The best stat…
Manchester City have won their last two away games against West Ham United by an aggregate scoreline of 9-0.
The Citizens won 4-0 in their first trip to London Stadium in 2017. They netted five in their last visit to the Boleyn Ground.
Remember when…
Jack Collison earned West Ham a tight 1-0 victory over City at the Boleyn Ground back in 2009.
Player to watch…
Raheem Sterling. Slightly unfortunate to have missed out on the PFA Young Player of the Year Award, Sterling has been brilliant all season long. He has notched a career-best haul of 23 goals in all competitions and has been one of the catalysts behind Manchester City’s procession to the title.
He has been involved in six goals in his last five Premier League games with three strikes of his own and three assists. The winger also had a hand in five goals in three appearances against West Ham last season.
Form guide…
West Ham United: LLWDDL
Manchester City: WLLLWW (all comps)
Fan #1: "What do you think will happen at the game today?"
Fan #2: "I have absolutely no idea, anything could happen it's an open game. But obviously Granit Xhaka will get booked."
Yep it's happened, Granit Xhaka picks up his tenth yellow card of the season as he brings down Jesse Lingard.
26: The Arsenal youngsters are playing with good character and Ainsley Maitland-Niles is picking out some particularly good passes. His latest pass to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gives the forward a chance to shoot but he dwells on the ball in the box and gets dispossessed.
30: Henrikh Mkhitaryan plays himself into trouble and has Ashley Young for company in his own box. The Arsenal man's luck is in and he wins a foul, much to Young's bemusement.
35: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goes close!
Hector Bellerin drives forward on the right and lifts a cross to Aubameyang in the middle. The forward is unmarked and tries to cushion the ball in from close range but his effort is straight at David De Gea.
37: Manchester United's build up play is so slow, "United not overly bothered about searching for the second, it seem," says former Arsenal forward Alan Smith on Sky Sports.
The home side have a chance to break forward and drive at Arsenal who had committed players forward, but a slower build up play is what they opt for. Old Trafford collectively groans.
Pogba's goal
Paul Pogba is on hand to turn the ball in after Alexis Sanchez hits the post
41: Post!
Ashley Young appears to mis-hit a cross which clips the front post. I'm not sure David Ospina had all his angles covered there.
"Maybe with a new era that lack of accountability will stop." Former Arsenal man Alan Smith is very critical of Granit Xhaka who failed to track Paul Pogba when he opened the scoring.
