From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The north London derby sees Tottenham and Arsenal meet at Wembley. Arsenal won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in November with Alexis Sanchez scoring the second goal but today they face their fierce rivals with a new-look attack full of former Borussia Dortmund pace and guile in the shape of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Spurs come into this match fifth in the Premier League, four points clear of the sixth-placed Gunners and clearly the significance of this tie runs beyond an old rivalry. Both clubs are desperate to finish in the top four and the loser of this one will take a major blow in that quest.

57' - Super save.
Son Heung-min is fouled on the edge of the box and ref Anthony Taylor awards a free-kick. Christian Eriksen takes it and the ball curls towards the top corner... but Petr Cech is equal to it as he flies to his right and tips it over the crossbar.
65' - Alexandre Lacazette and Alex Iwobi replace Mohamed Elneny and Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Arsenal.
68' - Great strike!
Jack Wilshere must think he's equalised for Arsenal with a curling shot from the edge of the area... but Hugo Lloris springs to his right to deny the midfielder.
That's the closest the visitors have come to scoring this afternoon.
70' - Son Heung-min wastes a decent opportunity to double Spurs' lead as he blazes a shot over the bar from 20 yards out and under no pressure at all.
That proves to be his last act of the match as Erik Lamela comes on to replace him.
73' - What a chance!
Dele Alli finds himself one-on-one with the onrushing Petr Cech after a good through pass by Erik Lamela but the Spurs youngster sends the ball just wide.
Moments later Lamela has a close-range shooting opportunity of his own but Cech thwarts him with a good save.
Arsenal are on the ropes here.
76' - Petr Cech is called into action again and this time it's Kieran Trippier who he denies. Spurs would be out of sight here if it wasn't for the way Arsenal's goalkeeper is performing.
82' - Arsenal are enjoying a nice little spell of possession here but they really need to start doing something with the ball - they've not had a clear-cut chance all game!
