From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The north London derby sees Tottenham and Arsenal meet at Wembley. Arsenal won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in November with Alexis Sanchez scoring the second goal but today they face their fierce rivals with a new-look attack full of former Borussia Dortmund pace and guile in the shape of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Spurs come into this match fifth in the Premier League, four points clear of the sixth-placed Gunners and clearly the significance of this tie runs beyond an old rivalry. Both clubs are desperate to finish in the top four and the loser of this one will take a major blow in that quest.

33' - Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been really poor in the early stages here. He's conceded possession so many times and looks shot of confidence - much like he did in his final days at Manchester United.
39' - Arsenal have a really good chance on the break after good work by Henrikh Mkhitaryan but Mesut Ozil slows the attack right down before crossing for Nacho Monreal, whose header is blocked by Davinson Sanchez.
Ozil should've gone for a shot there.
40' - Hector Bellerin finds himself in bags of space in the inside-right position and goes for goal from just outside the area... but the ball sails a good few feet over the crossbar.
Half-time - Spurs 0-0 Arsenal
Referee Anthony Taylor brings the opening period to a close and we're level after 45 very evenly-contested minutes of football.
GOAL! Spurs 1-0 Arsenal (Kane)
49' - Who else?
Ben Davies delivers a delicious cross from the left wing and Harry Kane rises highest to meet it and nod the ball back across Petr Cech and into the far corner.
Beautiful goal.
Arsenal's Hector Bellerin vies for the ball with Tottenham's Son Heung-min
52' - Chance for Spurs!
Eric Dier delivers a marvellous cross from the inside-right channel and the unmarked Harry Kane gets on the end of it... but this time he sends his header inches wide of the goal!
