From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The battle for seventh place and potential Europa League football sees Watford host Wolves at Vicarage Road, with the victor set to surge ahead as favourites to finish as ‘best of the rest’ in the Premier League.

Southampton meanwhile take on fellow south coast side Bournemouth. Follow the live action below.

Crystal Palace vs Everton
And finally to Selhurst Park, where Everton are the visitors.
Marco Silva's side are also in the mix for seventh and, with four wins from their last five, in fine recent form.
There is little to play for in the case of Roy Hodgson's side, other than the financial benefits to finishing as high as possible. The top half seems beyond them, and West Ham's win takes them four points clear in eleventh, but there are three teams within striking distance behind them and Crystal Palace will be keen to notch a second successive win.
Right. Five minutes to go.
We tend to get goals towards the end of the season as the games become somewhat less intense on the whole. Could we be in for an action-packed afternoon?
Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton, 1 minute
Nearly an excellent start for Crystal Palace, but Christian Benteke is offside as he looks to get in behind.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton, 2 minutes
And their bright start continues, Max Meyer finding only the side netting with his shot as Everton are a little slow to get going.
Fulham 0-0 Cardiff, 3 minutes
Another London team has started well, too.
Fulham are rather dominating Cardiff at Craven Cottage, assisted by what appears to be a rather strong wind, pushing the visitors back into their own half and starting to threaten.
