Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. There are seven games to get stuck into this evening, with Tottenham vs Manchester United the stand-out fixture. Manchester City and Chelsea are also in action as the fight for the top four heats up. Follow the live action below.
Tottenham 2-0 Manchester United
37: Phil Jones goes into the book for a foul on Harry Kane on the halfway line. I'm sure there's been worse fouls which have seen less punishment.
Manchester City 1-0 West Brom
Fernandinho puts Manchester City into the lead after a sublime ball from the pass maestro, Kevin De Bruyne.
Newcastle 0-0 Burnley
Nick Pope saves Joselu's peanlty to keep the scoreline level.
Tottenham 2-0 Manchester United
45: Harry Kane sneaks behind the United back line and tries to curl a left footed effort beyond David De Gea but the goalkeeper reads the situation and saves.
Tottenham 2-0 Manchester United
Half time
Manchester United have failed to react to conceding to Christian Eriksen after ten seconds. Things got worse when Phil Jones turned the ball into his own net in a half which Spurs dominated. Jose Mourinho has a big team talk to give at the break.
Chelsea 0-1 Bournemouth
47: Eddie Howe's side take the lead as Callum Wilson opens the scoring. Bournemouth string together a nice move and a one-two on the edge of the box and Wilson tucks the ball under the on-rushing goalkeeper.
Newcastle 0-0 Burnley
57: Aaron Lennon comes on to make his debut for Burnley. He's a fairly similar kind of player to Theo Walcott and if he can replicated his debut for Everton where he has scored twice against Leicester, that will please many of the travelling Burnley fans who have not had a great deal to cheer so far.
