4 min: John Ruddy rises to claim a lofted free-kick but doesn't take it cleanly and the ball almost drops to City's attackers in the box, who have a clear sight at goal.
Fortunately for Norwich, their alert defence scrambles it away.
9 min: Sergio Aguero slips through on goal, fires wide and then looks over the linesman's raised flag with relief.
15 min: Gary O'Neil concedes a free-kick in a dangerous position, around 25 yards out in the centre of the pitch.Sergio Aguero lines it up and clears the wall but John Ruddy is equal to his effort, parrying over the bar.
20 min: Manchester City are still having a lot of possession on the edge of Norwich's box but they're struggling to convert their dominance into chances.Gael Clichy is almost released at the far post but he can't control Fernando's pass and the ball runs out for a goal kick.
24 min: Norwich are starting to come into the game a little more after a nervy start.Russell Martin breaks down the right into a promising position, only to be forcefully upended by Nicolas Otamendi. The Argentinian's in the book.Joe Hart is fouled after the subsequent free-kick is taken and the Canaries' foray forward ultimately comes to nothing.
