It was a good day for the Merseyside clubs as Liverpool thrashed Brighton 5-1 and Everton beat Huddersfield 2-0.
Elsewhere, Watford drew 1-1 with Tottenham and West Brom vd Crystal Palace ended goalless.
Leicester beat Burnley 1-0 while Stoke claimed a vital three points with a narrow 2-1 win.

Brighton almost get back in the game through Glenn Murray but Simon Mignolet makes a good save, which sparks a Liverpool counter-attack. Roberto Firmino finds Mo Salah, who charges forward before returning the ball to Firmino, who places the ball in the top corner. Game over.

After a dreadful first half, Gylfi Sigurdsson gives Everton the lead at Goodison Park!
GOAL! Brighton 1-3 Liverpool (Murray, pen, 51)
Jordan Henderson is adjudged to have fouled Shane Duffy in the box and the referee points to the spot. The decision looks soft but Glenn Murray doesn't care as he dispatches the penalty to get Brighton back in the game.

Red card! Davinson Sanchez is shown a straight red for an elbow on Richarlison. The referee looks to have got that one right. What was the young defender thinking?!
