Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Jose Mourinho’s team have drawn their past three Premier League games, including 2-2 draws against both Southampton and Arsenal in the past week.
Claudio Ranieri’s side meanwhile remain rooted to the bottom of the table but are just one point off Huddersfield Town in 17th and they will therefore hope to snatch something from Old Trafford. Follow our live stream of latest updates below.

Player to watch
Jesse Lingard: The 25-year-old only managed his first goal of the season in Manchester United’s draw with Arsenal, but it seems that the England international could be hitting some form ahead of the packed Christmas schedule after a frustrating start to the season. He provided some much-needed energy through the middle in midweek and his substitution took the spark out of the hosts' attacks. Pace will be vital for United if they are to turn these draws into victories, and Lingard will be key to that.

Arsenal 0-0 Huddersfield, 46 minutes
Changes for Arsenal.
A change in formation, too, as Stephan Lichtsteiner is one of those not to re-emerge from the tunnel. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi come on. Alexandre Lacazette is the other to be replaced.
GOAL! West Ham 1-1 Crystal Palace (Robert Snodgrass, 48 minutes)
Ooh, that's lovely!
Robert Snodgrass puts West Ham back on level terms with a peach from the edge of the box.
Picking his spot, curling it past Wayne Hennessey - top notch!
Arsenal 0-0 Huddersfield, 52 minutes
Huddersfield have stood up strongly to Arsenal today, but now they've lost the gritty Jonathan Hogg.
Hogg has been forced to go off through injury. Juninho Bacuna is his replacement as Huddersfield look to continue to battle.

This London derby has really opened up since West Ham levelled.
Patrick Van Aanholt has picked up a knock and Jeffrey Schlupp is called for to come on at left back.
Moments later, Pablo Zabaleta nearly gives West Ham the lead with Aaron Wan-Bissaka just able to toe it past the post.
Manchester United 3-0 Fulham, 60 minutes

The arch-poacher is at it again...
Felipe Anderson's free kick is just about saved by Wayne Hennessey, but Javier Hernandez is the quickest (and in truth only player) to react, applying the necessary touches to complete West ham's turnaround. 2-1.
GOAL! West Ham 3-1 Crystal Palace (Felipe Anderson, 64 minutes)
That's another pearler!
Javier Hernandez finds Felipe Anderson, who finds the top corner. West Ham pulling away.
