Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Odds:
Manchester City to win: 1/9
Draw: 11/1
West Ham United to win: 25/1
26: Kevin De Bruyne finds Raheem Sterling with space in the box. He turns and shoots but produces a finish that England fans recognise the winger for.
28: Just a reminder that Manuel Lanzini is playing for West Ham, I don't think I've seen him touch the ball. West Ham need to get him involved if they want something from this game.
West Ham have rarely ventured out of their half, and here's the proof:
32: West Ham take a quick free kick in City's half and find Michail Antonio and he works a shot at goal but he is offside. Sloppy from him.
35: Manuel Lanzini wins back the ball and plays a one-two with Michail Antonio. He receives the ball in the box and tests Ederson with a near-post effort which is turned behind for a corner. Aaron Cresswell takes the corner and City clear.
38: Slight break in play as Cheikou Kouate is receiving treatment and Pep Guardiola uses the time to pass on instructions.
41: Cheikou Kouate is troubled by his earlier knock and is withdrawn, Diafra Sakho comes on in his place.
GOAL!
Manchester City 0-1 West Ham
43: Diafra Sakho wins West Ham a corner. Aaron Cresswell takes it short to Manuel Lanzini who returns it to Cresswell and he crosses to Angelo Ogbonna who heads down and into the net.
45: We're into the first of four minutes of added time and the Etihad is stunned! Sergio Aguero is played behind the West Ham defence and fires a shot on goal but the assistant referee flags for offside.
