From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Huddersfield welcome Bournemouth to the north on Sunday lunchtime as Eddie Howe’s side look to continue their decent start to the second-half of the season.

A win would take Bournemouth level on points with ninth-placed Everton in the Premier League table while Huddersfield are in desperate need of all three points as they try to get out of a relegation battle.

A win would lift them out of the bottom three – albeit perhaps temporarily – and put seven points between themselves and bottom-of-the-table West Bromwich Albion.

The game will be shown live on BT Sport, with kick-off at 12pm or you can follow all the action below:

"The season starts now. We've got the difficult fixtures out of the way and now we have the fixtures in front of us where we will be able to collect some wins.

"It's an opportunity against a strong side which is in good form at the minute but that doesn't change our desire to be successful today."

5' - Not too much to report on from the early stages of this one. We've just had a short break in play due to an injury to Christopher Schindler but, thankfully for Huddersfield, he looks alright to carry on.

GOAL! Huddersfield 1-0 Bournemouth (Pritchard)

7' - The hosts take an early lead and it's January signing Alex Pritchard with the goal, as he slots home from close range after good work down the left wing by Steve Mounie!
