From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Huddersfield welcome Bournemouth to the north on Sunday lunchtime as Eddie Howe’s side look to continue their decent start to the second-half of the season.

A win would take Bournemouth level on points with ninth-placed Everton in the Premier League table while Huddersfield are in desperate need of all three points as they try to get out of a relegation battle.

A win would lift them out of the bottom three – albeit perhaps temporarily – and put seven points between themselves and bottom-of-the-table West Bromwich Albion.

The game will be shown live on BT Sport, with kick-off at 12pm or you can follow all the action below:

GOAL! Huddersfield 1-1 Bournemouth (Stanislas)

13' - Ryan Fraser picks Junior Stanislas out in the Huddersfield box with a lovely cross and the striker makes no mistake with the finish, passing the ball back across goal and into the bottom corner.

Really well worked goal, that.

18' - Bournemouth's Dan Gosling collects the first booking of the match for a cynical foul on Alex Pritchard 30 yards from goal.

Pritchard takes the resulting free-kick but blasts his shot straight into the wall.

Alex Pritchard gave Huddersfield an early lead

22' - Huddersfield have played well since conceding the equaliser. They've enjoyed the lion's share of possession and have looked dangerous with a couple of long balls in behind the Bournemouth defence.

24' - Chance for Huddersfield.

Aaron Mooy delivers a superb cross into the penalty area but centre-back Zanka puts his header straight at Asmir Begovic from inside the six-yard box.

GOAL! Huddersfield 2-1 Bournemouth (Mounie)

28' - The Terriers retake the lead as Steve Mounie heads home from Aaron Mooy's free-kick after Jonathan Hogg was fouled by Lewis Cook.

On the balance of play, you've got to say they deserve to be in the lead.

Bournemouth's players celebrate after Junior Stanislas' equaliser

31' - Off the post!

Steve Cook comes agonisingly close to equalising for Bournemouth but his first-time shot from Charlie Daniels' clever corner hits the outside of the post and goes behind for a goal-kick.

38' - This first half has been really entertaining - and you've not been able to say that too many times this season about matches involving Huddersfield.

They really are good value for this 2-1 lead and look by far the more likely side to grab the game's next goal.
