Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Manchester City earlier swept past fellow English Premier League team Burnley 5-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday, extending their run of wins to eight in all competitions. In that streak, the team has 33 goals and has not conceded a goal in the last six games — a first under Guardiola.

Wolverhampton Wanderers avoided becoming the latest Premier League casualty only by scoring in the third minute of injury time to salvage a 2-2 draw at third-tier Shrewsbury.

Wolves, who knocked out Liverpool in the third round, rested key players for the game despite not being in genuine danger of relegation in its first season back in the Premier League.

In an all-Premier League matchup, Watford won 2-0 at Newcastle, which hasn't progressed beyond the fourth round since 2006. Brighton was taken to a replay by second-tier West Bromwich Albion after a 0-0 draw.

And after Everton were stunned by Millwall, West Ham were knocked out by AFC Wimbledon. Re-live the action:

GOAL! Millwall 2-2 Everton (Cooper 75')

He doesn't know a lot about it, but Jake Cooper has put the hosts back on terms.

A scrappy free-kick eventually ends with an effort from Murray Wallace.

Pickford saves but the ball rebounds to the defender who appears to put it in with his arm.

The drama continues.

79 min: Millwall 2-2 Everton

Change for Everton, as Theo Walcott replaces Ademola Lookman.

Also coinfirmation that Idrissa Gueye and Cenk Tosun have been booked for dissent.

83 min: Millwall 2-2 Everton

The see-saw momentum of this game has seen Everton regain control after a manic few minutes.

They're struggling to break the hosts down though.

  ↵As I said, manic.

88 min: Millwall 2-2 Everton

Two contrasting benches in the aftermath of Cooper's equaliser.

Marco Silva argues with the fourth official after seeing the replay on the big screen, while Milwall's Neil Harris vehemently shouts for it to removed from there.

Four minutes added on. Is there a winner?

GOAL! Millwall 3-2 Everton (Wallace 90+4)

Another set piece and there is a winner. The second ball from a free-kick falls to Wallace, who sets himself with a touch before passing the ball past Jordan Pickford.

The Den goes absolutely crazy! As does Marco Silva, but for a very different reason.

Full Time: Millwall 3-2 Everton

A fifth Premier League scalp for Milwall and they snatch this one at the death.

Richarlison and Tosun put the visitors ahead twice, but Gregory and a controversial Cooper goal saw the Premier League side pegged back.

And right at the death, Wallace sealed it with a calm finish.

↵There is just one game left in today's FA Cup action, and it comes from Kingsmeadow where Wimbledon face West Ham. Here are the teams:

We're underway at Kingsmeadow. Can AFC Wimbledon match Millwall's result and knock out a Premier League side?
