From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The Cherries impressed for large parts of the first half and saw David Brooks hit a post after 18 minutes.
Everton, though, grabbed the opening goal just after the hour mark when Zouma headed home Digne's cross.
The hosts then wrapped up the three points when substitute Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted Lookman's low cross in added time.

Big chance for Winks! Son runs in behind the United defence and plays a reverse pass into the path of Winks, who hits it first time on his left but can only guide his shot wide, with the help of a touch off De Gea. From the resulting corner, the ball drops to Winks again, and this time he blazes an effort over the bar.

At the other end, United get their first chance. Pogba floats a ball towards the back post, where Lingard is waiting unmarked. He controls with his chest, lines up the shot, but drives it high and wide.
