Your support helps us to tell the story

My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.

Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.

Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

Cardiff City's Sol Bamba netted a dramatic late goal after a goalmouth scramble as they snatched a 2-1 win over 10-man Brighton & Hove Albion to move out of the Premier League relegation zone on Saturday.

With seconds left Bamba's overhead kick come back off the post and the rebound fell to Callum Paterson whose effort cannoned off the bar. But Bamba made no mistake third time round when he fired the ball into the roof of the net.

It completed a day to remember for Neil Warnock, who was celebrating 100 games in charge of Cardiff, as the Welsh club recorded their second top-flight victory of the season after Brighton's Dale Stephens was sent off in the first half.

Hello and welcome to another day of Premier League coverage from your trusted fellows here at the Independent.

Be sure to keep tuned in all day here, with copious amounts of banter and information in commensurate measure.

First up we've got Cardiff City vs Brighton in Neil Warnock's 100th game in charge of the Bluebirds. Now, where are those teams?......

Pre-match stats:

Cardiff are without a clean sheet in their last eight Premier League games. They have conceded 22 goals in that period and have lost seven of those encounters.

Brighton have lost just one of their 11 league games against Cardiff, but have won just one of their last 19 Premier League away games?

History both past and present somehow seem to go against both sides, but something has to give. Which way will it go?

So just under half-an-hour till kick-off in Wales.

Both sides are coming off a defeat and will therefore be looking for a response today.

Cardiff were beaten by a spirited Leicester side that was still rocked by the tragic death of their owner Vichai Srivaddhanprabha.

Brighton were beaten by Everton last weekend after an unbeaten October which saw them collect three 1-0 wins on the spin.

So will Cardiff get their second win of the season? Or will Brighton rediscover their form from last month?

Brighton manager has been talking to Sky Sports pre-match and has stressed the importance of getting a foothold in the game.

He also stated his side's ability to keep clean sheets as a big positive, so is another one coming?

So, just over five minutes till kick-off.

There will be a minute's silence for remembrance Sunday before kick-off as several military personnel past and present make their way out on to the field.

A wreath has also been carried out and laid down by the two captains, and there will also be a rendition of the Last Post.

1 min: Cardiff 0-0 Brighton

So with the minute's silence done it is time for the action to begin. Cardiff kick us off and another weekend of action has begun.

6 min: Cardiff 0-0 Brighton

Cardiff have made a fairly bright start to the game here. Cunningham has looked particularly keen top get forward down the left-hand side, with Camarasa and Gunnarsson keeping things ticking over nicely in midfield.

GOAL! Cardiff 0-1 Brighton (Dunk 6')

Well, well, well. Another decent start from Cardiff has been undone in one moment. A free-kick is swung in from the left by Solly March and Sol Bamba is completely unaware of Lewis Dunk's run at the back post.

The Englishman heads the ball into the ground and into the corner to beat Neil Etheridge.

9 min: Cardiff 0-1 Brighton

Cardiff win a free-kick of their own and look to hit back in similar fashion, but Camarasa gets the whip but not the required trajectory and it does no harm to Ryan's goal.
