From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Bournemouth host Arsenal in Sunday’s early kick-off – but the build-up to the match has been dominated by Alexis Sanchez.

The forward has not travelled with his team-mates to the south coast and is likely to complete a move to Manchester United in the coming hours, with City set to miss out on their man at the final hurdle.

Arsenal will still be expected to beat Bournemouth even without him in their starting XI and a win for the Gunners will take them a point behind north London rivals Tottenham. Bournemouth are meanwhile hoping to climb as high as 13th with a win.

23' - Jack Wilshere weaves his way through the Bournemouth defence before getting a shot away from a tight angle. Adam Smith gets across well to make the block, though.

26' - Arsenal have been poor in these early stages but Jack Wilshere has been outstanding in the centre of the park. He looks full of confidence at the moment.

28' - Arsenal's Alex Iwobi delivers a teasing low ball across the face of the six-yard box but Danny Welbeck doesn't gamble at the far post and the attack fizzles out.

31' - Simon Francis picks up a booking for a foul on Danny Welbeck. Again, that looks like a harsh decision from referee Kevin Friend.

35' - Chance for Arsenal!

Alexandre Lacazette's through pass somehow finds its way through to Danny Welbeck, but he is thwarted from close range by Asmir Begovic. Good goalkeeping.

38' - Shkodran Mustafi stoops low to meet Granit Xhaka's corner at the front post but the defender's header sails over the crossbar.

40' - Jordon Ibe's low cross finds the unmarked Ryan Fraser at the far post but Calum Chambers makes a superb last-ditch challenge to block the shot.

Moments earlier Bournemouth wanted a penalty for handball against Alex Iwobi but the referee waved play on.

The hosts are enjoying a decent spell at the moment.
