Everton secured Premier League survival over Leicester and Leeds on a nervous and tense final day. Needing to defeat Bournemouth to claim their place in the top-flight next season things looked bad for the Toffees as the visitors took the early initiative at Goodison Park.
At the King Power Stadium, Harvey Barnes gave Leicester the lead over West Ham with Leeds falling behind to Tottenham up at Elland Road. That was how things stood at half-time with the Foxes out of the relegation zone and Everton in trouble.
The second half began and Leeds fell further behind Spurs effectively putting them out of the battle. Leicester extended their lead over the Hammers to gain control of their and Everton continued to struggle.
Then, Abdoulaye Doucoure received the ball on the edge of the box and smoked home a wonderful strike to put Everton in front. Sean Dyche’s men lasted through 10 minutes of stoppage to collect their three points and clinch their place in the top-flight.
Relive the action from the Premier League final day below:
GOAL! Aston Villa 2-0 Brighton (Watkins, 26’)
Aston Villa have extended their lead over Brighton and look set to be playing in Europe next year!
Ollie Watkins is left with a tap-in after Jacob Ramsey dances into the box and slips him the ball.
Leeds 0-1 Tottenham
26 mins: Kane finds a pocket of space inside the box but Cooper does well to close down the space and Kane’s effort is subsequently blocked with Robles able to claim to the loose ball.
Leicester 0-0 West Ham
24 mins: Lovely hold up play from Kelechi Iheancho sees him receive the ball just inside the penalty area. His back is to goal but he manages to lay the ball off to Harvey Barnes who cuts in from the left.
Barnes shoots but drills a low effort straight at Lukasz Fabianski who clings onto it.
GOAL! Southampton 1-2 Liverpool (Ward-Prowse, 19')
James Ward-Prowse pulls one back! With Southampton already relegated the England midfielder will have quite a few suitors over the summer and he’s doing himself no harm by trying to get the Saints back into this match.
Leeds 0-1 Tottenham
21 mins: Leeds are certainly not leaving things to chance and throwing plenty of numbers forward. Kristensen is left in a two-versus-one against Kulusevski and Son but does superbly to prevent a goal-scoring opportunity.
Up the other end, Forshaw’s long-range effort is deflected behind by Sanchez.
GOAL! Man Utd 0-1 Fulham (Tete, 19’)
It’s a good job Manchester United have already secured Champions League football. There would have been a lot of nerves inside Old Trafford right now as Kenny Tete gives Fulham the lead.

Leicester 0-0 West Ham
18 mins: Still goalless at the King Power Stadium but Kelechi Iheanacho has come close for the home side. He blazes a shot from the front edge of the box past the opposite post but it’s a good sign for the Foxes.
They need to win to stay up.
GOAL! Southampton 0-2 Liverpool (Firmino, 14’)
Talk about departing stars. Roberto Firmino is ending his spell at Liverpool in equally brilliant fashion and has doubled Liverpool’s lead over the Saints.
This could turn into a big score.
Leeds 0-1 Tottenham
15 mins: Wober also goes into the book in the early stages for Leeds after he brings down Kulusevski as the Swede looks to spin behind him.
GOAL! Arsenal 2-0 Wolves (Xhaka, 14’)
Granit Xhaka again! It’s a brace for the departing midfielder as Arsenal take complete control of their match against Wolves.
