This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

OFFSIDE! Awoniyi has the ball in the net, but a delayed flag goes up! The Forest number nine gets in on the right and shoots high past Dubravka. However, a replay shows he was clearly offside despite the linesman delaying his decision.

Newcastle's passing has been really sloppy at the start of this second half. They kept the ball with ease at times in the first period, but Forest are on top now.

The ball bounces off Trippier's hand just outside the box, but referee Taylor gives a goal-kick to Newcastle as it goes behind. Hudson-Odoi wants either a penalty or a corner, with the fans behind the goal outraged, but the official is unmoved.

There were no changes at the break, with Schar back out, having been furious with the referee at the end of the first half. He felt Yates' challenge on him shortly before Forest's second equaliser should have been punished.

It will be interesting to see if Newcastle make any half-time changes. Howe was criticised for not taking Burn off at the break against Luton, and he has struggled again. The Magpies midfield has perhaps left the defender too exposed, however.

Newcastle matches tend to be entertaining, high-scoring affairs, and this one is no different. They have twice led and twice looked in a position to kick on and take complete control, but Forest have found a response. Guimaraes volleyed in from a Trippier cross, only for Elanga to race through and equalise. Schar lashed in a second for Newcastle, yet Hudson-Odoi's deflected strike has the sides level at half-time.
