This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Doku again making things happen in the final third. He receives the ball out wide and Milner starts to back off. The City winger finds a yard of space and drills the ball into the Brighton box, but it evades every attacker and the Seagulls can clear the danger.

Welbeck is struggling with an injury and the play has stopped so he can receive treatment. It could be an early blow for De Zerbi if the Brighton forward has to be substituted.

Silva does well to link up with Gvardiol deep inside the Brighton half. The Croatian finds himself in space on the edge of the box and has a go from range with his weak foot, but it's easily saved by Steele.

Doku is causing major problems on the left for City so far today. Once again, he darts beyond Milner and gets to the byline, but his cross is comfortably dealt with by Dunk and the danger is cleared.
