From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Follow all the action as West Ham welcome West Brom to the London Stadium in the Premier League’s early kick-off this evening.

David Moyes’ side have been in tremendous form this season, with victory against Brighton last time out lifting the Hammers to within touching distance of a European place. Michail Antonio scored the winner then, providing a timely boost after the sale of Sebastien Haller to Ajax earlier this month. The club are continuing to search for a replacement, but that appears to not be an urgent cause for concern with West Ham now unbeaten in all competitions since 21 December.

Meanwhile, West Brom come into the fixture with renewed momentum after a vital 3-2 victory over rivals Wolves last week. That result has breathed life into Sam Allardyce’s rescue mission, with the Baggies now just five points adrift of safety. Allardyce knows the Hammers well after his four-year stint in charge of the club between 2011 and 2015 and believes it’s vital his side do not concede first to have a chance of taking all three points. Follow all the action live below:

Here come the teams, West Brom leading the way out onto the pitch at the London Stadium. Can they make it two wins in two games?

David Moyes is on a six-match winning streak in the Premier League against teams managed by Sam Allardyce.

West Ham boss David Moyes told BT Sport:

Momentum in football in general is a good thing - I'll take a win no matter how it comes but we want to keep up the good form if we can.

"We've had moments where we've been up and down but we've got a really good team spirit.

"We've got two or three players showing good form and with the amount of games we have it's an opportunity for Pablo Fornals to come in. We think Michail Antonio can go again we have to be careful with him but we don't have an abundance of centre forwards so we have to just be careful."

West Brom have conceded 41 goals in the Premier League this season, seven more than any other team.

Centre-back Semi Ajayi has scored three goals in his last five appearances in all competitions, as many as he had in his previous 49 for the Baggies.

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce told BT Sport why Robert Snodgrass was excluded from the squad to face his former club tonight. He said:

That was an agreement between the clubs that this game he would not be allowed to play. We could only get the deal done with that agreement.

"Two in a row is rare when you are struggling at the bottom of the league but two in a row makes a massive difference when you are in the position you are in.

"A good result needs to follow with another one to build confidence and hopefully that happens tonight."

The Baggies have gone 10 matches without a top-flight away clean sheet, dating back to April 2018.

They are winless in their last 29 Premier League games played on a Tuesday, drawing 13 and losing 16.
