From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and more are open for business with the summer transfer window now officially open.

Arsenal are set to push on with their first signing of the summer with a bid for Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser set to be lodged following this week's Europa League final. A new centre-back is high on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's priority list at United with Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and Leicester's Harry Maguire both options. Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka is another on the Norwegian's radar. It won't just be incomings at Old Trafford, however, with Paul Pogba a high-profile target for Real Madrid and Alexis Sanchez on his way out with Inter Milan and Juventus fighting it out for his signature - if he drops his wage demands. And Liverpool could be active too as they look to go one better after failing to win the Premier League title by just a single point.

The key to Real Madrid signing Christian Eriksen could be whether Spurs land Giovani Lo Celso.

The Real Betis star is a €60m target for the Champions League finalists, report AS. with the Spaniards owning 80 percent of his economic rights, meaning former club PSG will take 20 percent.

Zinedine Zidane could add more craft to his midfield with the addition of Eriksen, who has just one year remaining on his contract.

Everton will demand £100m to sell Richarlison this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are keen, claim the Sun, with the Brazil international hitting 14 goals in his debut season, playing both as a winger and a centre-forward.

That fee would represent a big profit on the player who cost £40m last summer from Watford.

Spurs are keen on Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and David Brooks.

The Cherries duo have impressed this season under Eddie Howe, and the Sun believe Mauricio Pochettino’s side could table an £80m offer for the pair.

Wilson was linked with Chelsea in January and hit 15 goals and made 10 assists in all competitions this season.

Brooks penned new terms in March  until 2022, shining since his move from Sheffield United, and contributing seven goals and five assists in the Premier League this term.

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is hopeful of re-signing Manchester Unitedgoalkeeper Dean Henderson ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Loan signing Henderson, 22, proved a huge success this term as the Blades finished runners-up in the Sky Bet Championship to end a 12-year exile from the top flight.

Henderson kept 21 clean sheets to win the Championship Golden Glove award, and said after the Blades won promotion that he wanted to return to Bramall Lane next season.

Manchester United’s own goalkeeping situation remain uncertain, with doubts over the future of Spain star David De Gea, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be open to the idea of again loaning out his England Under-21 international.

“We’re working our way through it,” Wilder told Press Association Sport over the ongoing Henderson talks.

Eden Hazard looks set for the exit this summer at Chelsea.

But what price will it take to get him out of Stamford Bridge?

Sky Sports believe the Blues will do business at £130m, though Real Madrid may feel that is too much for a player available for nothing in 12 months.

The Champions League finalists are one of many clubs keeping tabs on the 17-year-old.

Thomas Tuchel has extended his contract at Paris Saint-Germain to end speculation that Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri will replace him in the capital.

The German boss has put pen to paper on a new deal until 2021 after his debut campaign saw domestic success but ultimate failure in the Champions League.

Despite winning Ligue 1 and the Trophee des Champions, speculation began in recent weeks about a change.

The damaging defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League last 16 left PSG frustrated at their inability to break through in Europe.

But after fearing the worst, Tuchel expressed his delight at the club’s backing.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has had his say on Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, who has been linked with a move back to his native Germany in recent weeks.

When asked about a potential bid for Sane, Rummenigge said: “We will try. I cannot promise whether it will succeed.

“We already had the idea when he was still with Schalke. But at that time we did not have a guaranteed regular place for him.

“Robben and Ribery were top of the top three years ago.”
