Gareth Bale is nearing a move to China that will see him earn an incredible £1m a week with Jiangsu Suning, but the departure could allow Real Madrid to press on with their move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
But one player potentially leaving Old Trafford may not actually depart this summer, with Inter Milan’s move for Romelu Lukaku said to be on the rocks. Arsenal meanwhile are being strongly linked with a huge offer for Nicolas Pepe, though the Lille winger has interested a number of clubs across Europe.
Manchester City meanwhile could be on the verge of losing Leroy Sane, with the Germany international wanted by Bayern Munich – who have reportedly opened talks with the Premier League champions over a summer move. Follow the live news below.
The summer transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday 8 August for all Premier League and Championship clubs, with the rest of Europe having until 11pm CET on Monday 2 September to complete their summer transfer business.
West Ham are confident of beating Newcastle to the signing of Porto striker Moussa Marega, according to the Mirror.
Both clubs have signed forwards this summer, but clearly feel the need for more firepower.
The 28-year-old, who has a £27m release clause in his contract, has scored 45 goals in 99 appearances for Porto.
Everton are set to offer James McCarthy and Cenk Tosun to Crystal Palace in an attempt to sign Wilfried Zaha, the Daily Mail have reported.
Zaha has been repeatedly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, but the Gunners are on the verge of completing a deal for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
That could open the door for Everton, although Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be interested in the 26-year-old.
Newcastle have made a £7.2m offer for PSG defender Stanley Nsoki, according to L'Equipe.
The 20-year-old left back made 12 appearances for the French champions last season, but has struggled to establish himself as a regular under Thomas Tuchel.
PSG had originally intended to hold out for almost double the fee offered by Newcastle, although Steve Bruce is hopeful an agreement can be reached.
Barcelona have identified Manchester United target Jadon Sancho as a possible replacement for outgoing winger Malcom.
The Brazilian is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp and has been the subject of a bid from Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho, according to Fox Sports, could be heading the other way, with Barca reportedly turning their attention towards the 19-year-old Englishman.
The former Manchester City youngster scored 13 goals in 43 appearances for Dortmund last season.
Tottenham's chances of signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala depend on the futures of Christian Eriksen and Danny Rose, Sky Sports have reported.
Spurs may be unable to meet the Bianconeri's £80m asking price without selling Eriksen, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
Another option may be to include Rose in any offer for Dybala. Juventus are reportedly interested in the 29-year-old left back, who has been told he is free to leave the club.
As things stand, though, Spurs could struggle to raise the funds required to sign Dybala.
Bruno Fernandes is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United ahead of a proposed move, according to the Daily Mail.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola earlier claimed that United would attempt to complete the signing of Harry Maguire before turning their attention to Sporting midfielder Fernandes.
But it appears the transfer could be completed sooner than expected. According to Correiro Dello Sport, a fee has been agreed between the two clubs.
Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar has revealed that he is in talks to sign for both Inter and AC Milan.
The 27-year-old has spent the last three years at Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG, who he joined for £60m from Chelsea in 2016.
But he could be set for a return to Europe after confirming interest from the two Serie A clubs.
“Yes, I’ve spoken to two Milan clubs in these [last few] weeks,” he told passioneinter.com. "I can’t go into details, but, yes, one thing I can say: I want to play in Italy.”
