‘Pogba countdown’
Spanish newspaper AS report that Real Madrid will have to quickly offload James, Gareth Bale and Mariano if they want to sign Paul Pogba.
The Times reported that Manchester United have rejected a £27.4m bid plus James Rodriguez for the French midfielder and it is understood that the club would rather he stays at Old Trafford.
It's thought that an offer in the region of £150m is what Real Madrid will need to send United's way to tempt them into selling.
Liverpool identify Mignolet replacement
Former West Ham goalkeeper Adrian has been lined up as Simon Mignolet's replacement after the Belgian agreed to join Club Brugge.
Adrian is without a club after his contract was not renewed by the West London club and Liverpool need to sign him by 12:00 on Thursday for him to be available to play in their opening fixture against Norwich on Friday night.
City close to Cancelo signing
It is widely reported that Manchester City are on the verge of signing Juventus' Joao Cancelo for a fee in the region of £27m with Danilo going in the opposite direction.
Pep Guardiola wants every position on the pitch to be competitive and identified the Portuguese right-back for his attacking qualities.
Ilkay Gundogan has hinted that he is close to agreeing a new contract with Manchester City.
The Germany midfielder, who joined the Premier League champions from Borussia Dortmund in 2016, has just entered the final year of his current deal.
There has been speculation about the 28-year-old's future but now it seems he could be about to extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium.
"If you stay patient for another couple of weeks you will know. We will see," said Gundogan when asked about the situation after the Community Shield on Sunday.
"Every situation is different and individual. Everyone has to take a decision for himself. These kind of decisions sometimes take a little bit of time.
"During last season I asked people to be patient because it's a decision you make for the next few years. That's why I was calm and relaxed and still am. It's a comfortable situation for me at the moment."
