England take on the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the Nations League tonight, with the Three Lions in touching distance of a first piece of competitive silverware since 1966.

After a slow start to their qualifying campaign, Gareth Southgate’s men sealed their place in the finals of the inaugural competition after beating Spain 3-2 away from home before securing a 2-1 comeback win over Croatia.

Standing in between England and a place in the final is a newly rejuvenated Netherlands team that, after failing to make the 2018 World Cup, has rediscovered its form and menace. Follow live coverage of the match below.

Netherlands 0 - 1 England

It hasn't been the most thrilling of games so far. England look sluggish and are finding it hard to get anything going. The attacking threat of Sterling, Rashford and Sancho have been the difference between the two sides.

Netherlands 0 - 1 England

Improvements are needed in the second half to close out this game but as it stands England are only 45 minutes away from the Nations League final on Sunday.

Netherlands 0 - 1 England

Declan Rice and Fabian Delph completed 100% of their passes in the first half but they didn't do much with it. Out of the three English mid-fielders Ross Barkley was by far the most creative and forward thinking.

Netherlands 0 - 1 England

SECOND HALF: Harry Kane comes on for Marcus Rashford, who got a knock in the first half.

48 mins: Wijnaldum sends a searching ball forward for Dumfries but he puts too much on it and sends it out of play.

Netherlands 0 - 1 England

51 mins: Sterling makes a quick run in behind the defence but a delayed offside flag comes up as he wins a corner. De Roon brings down Barkley and England have a free kick. It comes in to the right of the box for Harry Maguire who tries to send it back across or maybe it's a shot? Either way the danger is cleared.

Netherlands 0 - 1 England

54 mins: Sterling runs the ball into the box and wins a corner. The ball comes in gets headed out as far as Delph. Delph puts the ball back into the box with a glorious cross and finds Sancho. Sancho has a free header but fires it at Cillessen who saves it.
