England take on the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the Nations League tonight, with the Three Lions in touching distance of a first piece of competitive silverware since 1966.

After a slow start to their qualifying campaign, Gareth Southgate’s men sealed their place in the finals of the inaugural competition after beating Spain 3-2 away from home before securing a 2-1 comeback win over Croatia.

Standing in between England and a place in the final is a newly rejuvenated Netherlands team that, after failing to make the 2018 World Cup, has rediscovered its form and menace. Follow live coverage of the match below.

When is it?

England vs Netherlands kicks off at 7.45pm on Thursday 6 June. The match is being staged at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques in Guimaraes, Portugal.

15 mins: England are making it perfectly clear they want to attack the Netherlands with Sancho on the left, even when he's not ready to make the run. Chilwell sending the ball out of play this time.

18 mins: The solid head of Harry Maguire clears the ball out of England's box. When it comes back in from the left Pickford has it covered. England run at Dumfries again, Chilwell shows him his pace and the Netherlands right back brings him down. Free kick to England.

21 mins: Delph blocks off van Dijk as the free kick comes into the box and the referee sees it straight away and awards a foul against England. 

Depay is fed the ball out on the left wing from the mid-field. He brings it inside and shoots but Pickford has the near post covered and he claims the ball.

24 mins: Chilwell misses the ball as he goes in for a tackle and Bergwijn is allowed past him. Bergwijn crosses the ball and Babel heads it down into the box but Depay can't react to it and Pickford gets the ball.

A good run from Walker comes to nothing as he passes the ball to Chilwell who has drifted offside. 

They recover though and send the ball into the box. Rashford gets there first, taps it on and is brought down by De Light who gets a yellow card.

36 mins: "It's coming home, it's coming home!" Echoes around the arena from the England fans.

It didn't look like it was coming for England but they've managed to score the opener. An injection of pace from Rashford creating the penalty. For their part the Netherlands have controlled the ball better but have been lacking a good final pass. 

Depay gets it into the box again and shoots but it's straight at Pickford who makes the save.

39 mins: Great play from England, they finally put a string of passes together, Barkley finds Rashford with a cutting forward ball, Rashford lays it off to Sancho who holds it up and turns back on himself before feeding it into the box for Rashford. Dumfries dives in from the left and beats Rashford to the ball in a last ditch effort of defending.

42 mins: England with another free kick in the Netherlands' half. Barkley sends it to the left of the box and Maguire wins the header, heading it back to Delph. Delph shoots and finds Cillessen.
