Six fixtures get underway at 3pm, with Championship leaders Norwich City travelling to Barnsley. Brighton are hoping to avoid the same fate as West Brom when they welcome Blackpool to the Amex, with the Seasiders having produced one of the shocks of the third round.
Sheffield United are looking to keep their momentum alive after this competition brought their first win of the season against Bristol Rovers in the previous round. Meanwhile, West Ham are in flying form and won’t want to risk any negative drop when they take on Doncaster. All-Championship ties between Millwall and Bristol City and Nottingham Forest’s trip to Swansea complete the mid-afternoon ties. Follow all the action live below:

45+1 mins: Half time. Southampton with the advantage at the break. They’ve been the better side, Arsenal have found it difficult to put together any lasting attacking pressure. The Saints got lucky with the goal but they deserve to be in front.

42 mins: Theo Walcott makes a nice run down the left but smart defending from Rob Holding wins a goal kick for Arsenal.

39 mins: Lovely defending from Jan Bednarek. Southampton have been in control of the game since they opened the scoring but Arsenal string together a nice set of passes to quickly glide up the pitch. Martinelli makes the run in between the centre-backs and just needs the pass. Pepe delivers but Bednarek, aware of the danger, slides backwards and makes the interception.

36 mins: Danny Ings wins the header from another Southampton corner. He catches it well enough and heads it towards the far post. Che Adams tries to head it goalwards but the ball goes over him and misses the target.

33 mins: Willian strongly wins the ball off Walker-Peters and he’s lucky to get away with that. He bursts forward as Martinelli makes a run down the left wing. Willian fires a pass his way but it’s off target and goes out for a Southampton throw in.

30 mins: Ward-Prowse whips the corner into the middle with Rob Holding solidly heading it away. The ball drops for Ryan Bertrand who drills one from range and sends it wide.

27 mins: Great start for Southampton. Arsenal are going to have to dig deep here, the Saints are in the ascendancy now, they’ve been pressing high and taking the attack to the Gunners. Southampton win another corner as Bellerin blocks a shot from Danny Ings.

24 mins: GOAL! Kyle Walker-Peters is played into the right side of the box by James Ward-Prowse. He shoots and fires the ball through the legs of Cedric. Gabriel sticks out a leg to block the shot but ends up deflecting the ball away from Leno. Holding tries to scramble it away but can’t reach the ball and it rolls into the net. Saints lead!

21 mins: There’s a good rhythm to this game now. Martinelli makes another enterprising run in behind the defence but the pass up to him isn’t the best and Forster boots it out of play.

18 mins: Chance for Arsenal! Willian whips an Arsenal free kick into the box and it’s a great delivery for Martinelli. He makes a run from deep and bursts through the line into the area. He’s onside and tries to meet the cross on the volley but misses it and Southampton take over.
