Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the perfect start when he hammered home a second minute penalty after Moussa Sissoko was adjudged to have handballed the ball in the area. A streaker interrupted proceedings before Divock Origi sealed the win late on with a smart finish.

33: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Moussa Sissoko bursts through the centre of the pitch, but there is absolutely nothing on for him out side. He gets forward and Liverpool close in, but there's nothing for him to do. Kieran Trippier should be working harder to get alongside him there.
35: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Dele Alli take a corner short to Kieran Trippier and a cross is cleared at the front post. Tottenham are just lacking that final bit of quality in the final third at the minute,
37: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Liverpool canter forward down the left and Andy Robertson fires a powerful effort from range that needs tipping over by Hugo Lloris. Great play by Joel Matip to start the move under pressure.
The resulting corner is cleared at the front post and Mohamed Salah fires well over from the edge of the box.
39: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Bad news for Spurs here as Jan Vertonghen is receiving treatment for what looks to be a wrist or arm injury. It seems he should be able to carry on after being patched up.
41: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Liverpool are getting into their stride and quickly pounce on Spurs as they try to play the ball out. The Reds win a corner, that again eventually falls to Mohamed Salah at the edge of the box, another corner coming up after a shot was deflected.
Salah takes this one and Son Heung-min clear from the front post. Set-pieces have been poor so far.
44: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Spurs break forward and it's three-on-three. As they drive forward, Dele Alli tries to slip a pass in-behind to Son Heung-min, but it's awfully executed and rolls out for a goal kick. He has to do better.
45+1: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
Eriksen collects the ball on the edge of the box, has space, and blasts the ball well over. You'd expect him to do much better.
Half-time cannot come soon enough. The second half has to be better, surely.
Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
It's not been a classic so far, putting it nicely.
The game began with electrifying speed as Liverpool found themselves with a chance to open the scoring from the penalty spot inside the first minute.
Sadio Mane's cross hit Moussa Sissoko's outstretched arm and the referee did not hesitate when pointing to the spot.
Mohamed Salah stepped up and made no mistake from the spot as he slammed he ball beyond Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham then had the better share of the ball, but lacked quality in the final third, leaving Alisson with very little to do all half.
