Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the perfect start when he hammered home a second minute penalty after Moussa Sissoko was adjudged to have handballed the ball in the area. A streaker interrupted proceedings before Divock Origi sealed the win late on with a smart finish.

The Liverpool manager has been speaking to BT Sport after ending his long wait for a trophy.
"I'm so happy for the boys, for my family they suffer every year when we go to a final last game and we lose it they deserved it more than anybody they are so supporting.
"Did you ever see a team like this fighting with no fuel. After the changes they had, we had a goalkeeper who makes difficult things look easy. Tonight will be better. It's the best night of my life, professionally.
On winning a final after six defeats. "We tried a lot of times, it's important not to give up and improve. This little mark helps a lot. We can carry on. Our owners never put pressure on us they are supporting. To John and Mike, it's brilliant.
"20 minutes after the game I will be already half-pissed."

"Without the manager this is impossible. What he's done since he's come to this club is unbelievable. There's such a togetherness in this group, its a special dressing room.
"I'm so proud to be part of this football club, to captain the team is special to me. I'm just trying to give my best. We've been through tough times, I kept going, just like this team kept going. This is what you do it for, this is the best moment of my life, apart from me kids!
"It's special. We need to keep going and kick on."
