Follow live reaction after Liverpool dropped three points in the Premier League title race as a depleted Leicester side held on to secure a 1-0 victory at the King Power Stadium.
Mohamed Salah saw a first-half penalty saved by Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, with the Premier League’s top scorer hitting the top of the bar with the rebound. Schmeichel denied Salah for a second time with a stunning stop from the angle, as Liverpool went into the break frustrated.
Sadio Mane missed a further chance after half time when he was played through on goal by Diogo Jota, before Leicester punished Liverpool as substitute Ademola Lookman fired the Foxes in front on 59 minutes.
Liverpool couldn’t find a late winner - the first time they had failed to score this season - as leaders Manchester City held on to their six-point lead ahead of their trip to Brentford tomorrow night. Follow reaction from Leicester vs Liverpool live below:

That was a great half of football, with Salah vs Schmeichel the defining battle. The Premier League’s top scorer was denied from the penalty spot before Schmeichel made an even better save to prevent Salah from opening the scoring from the angle. Liverpool haven’t been at their best yet but Leicester have to take a lot of credit for that as they have battled, and defended, very well, while offering plenty of threat at the other end. It’s been a good response from them after the thrashing they took against Manchester City.

45+1 mins: Yikes, this isn’t one to watch back. Iheanacho and Matip go up for a header and it ends in the striker tumbling over Matip and landing on his upper back. Thankfully, he gets up and is OK, but that could have been a serious injury.

45 mins: By Alexander-Arnold’s standards, this is a chance. Oxlade-Chamberlain flights it over to the right and he has Salah waiting in the box, but Alexander-Arnold scuffs the half-volley. Jota then has a snap-shot from close range by drags it wide.

43 mins: Alexander-Arnold’s corner from the left goes all the way through to Henderson and sets up his third opportunity to strike at goal on the volley - he does get his header over it but rather cuts it still, with the shot rising over the bar. Another difficult chance but another effort off target.

42 mins: Liverpool almost get in down the left after Tsimikas finds Mane - but Leicester cut out the pull-back towards Salah.

38 mins: What a game this is turning into! Ndidi battles with Salah before sending the ball down the line to Vardy. He stands up Van Dijk before slipping in Maddison, who shoots across Maddison. Alexander-Arnold sweeps up at the back post before Fabinho clears. Leicester are well up for this now.

37 mins: My word! Matip almost beats the entire Leicester team with an inspired run! The defender broke three challenges with some nifty footwork, but it just ran a yard away from him as Schmeichel collected.

35 mins: Great defending from Matip to deny Vardy! It’s a lovely move from Leicester, sparked by a Maddison flick. Vardy and Castagne exchange a smart one-two to beat Tsimikas before Matip gets across to block Vardy’s shot with an outstretched leg.

32 mins: SAVE! Schmeichel denies Salah again! It’s good play from Liverpool, with Henderson clipping a lovely tight ball into Salah inside the box. Leicester should still clear, but it breaks to Salah. He unleashes a fierce shot, which Schmeichel tips over from close range. Van Dijk gets his head to the corner but Thomas whacks clear off the line.

30 mins: Liverpool are starting to threaten more consistently now. Leicester almost play themselves into trouble again after Amartey’s pass to Choudhury is cut out by Oxlade-Chamberlain. He plays in Mane, who squares to Jota. Leicester get back well though and smother it out.
