Leicester 0-1 Fulham: Aleksandar Mitrovic scores again as in-form Cottagers notch huge win
Aleksandar Mitrovic boosted Fulham’s European charge as the Cottagers downed Leicester City with a narrow win.
The striker fired Marco Silva’s side to a third-straight win after a 1-0 Premier League victory at the King Power Stadium. It left Fulham seventh in the Premier League on 28 points - the same amount they were relegated with in 2021 - and level with Liverpool.
The Cottagers are in dreamland, in contrast to the Foxes with boss Brendan Rodgers’ consistent reality checks still ringing true after a third-straight defeat.
Rodgers has always been insistent this season would be one of struggle and his side have reverted to their early form which saw his own position called into question. Youri Tielemans rattled the crossbar during an improved second half but it was Fulham’s fast start which ultimately sealed the points.

Mitrovic has been at his destructive best so far, recovering from an early injury to slam in the opener after 17 minutes with a powerful half-volley after a superb first touch. He's managed three shots yielding an xG of 0.75, and has had five touches in the box. He's won four of the eight duels he's contested, with a successful dribble and aerial duel apiece. He's also won possession twice, as well as winning two free-kicks. Essential.

The first half comes to an end, and what a half it's been! The early stages of the game were disrupted by injuries, but Mitrovic quickly shook off his to score the opener for Fulham, finishing off a superb run from Willian. The Cottagers have had copious chances to double that lead, but Leicester have also grown into the game as the half progressed, with Vardy drawing a save from Leno and Perez missing a sitter. It's set to be an equally close second half too, so don't go anywhere!
